I have many teams that I have to cheer for and many that I want to cheer for.
But I am very proud of the Bemidji boys.
Thanks for putting Bemidji back on the hockey map.

Congratulations to all of the teams that competed in the VFW state this year. There were many GREAT teams and lots of good hockey all weekend. The entire tournament was a great success and the best of luck to all of those first year bantams whom might have the opportunity to go again next year! To all of those second years moving on to High School good luck and I wish you all continued success!
Edited to add that the final DE goal was an empty netter.
Bemidji fans are #1

I was so impressed with the Bemidji fans at the EP game on Friday night. I have never seen such excitement and enthusiasm at a youth hockey game. They were cheering their team on the minute they stepped on the ice for warm ups. The high fives and hugs amongst all the fans after each Bemidji goal is something I will never forget. This was one of the finest Bantam games I have seen. You can be proud of your team Bemidji but most of all you should be proud of your support and good sportsmanship. I will be traveling to Bemidji for work this week and will make sure and tell my customers about the #1 fans at the VFW tournament this weekend. Way to go Bemidji players and fans.

Congrats to Duluth for winning VFW State. Congrats to Brainerd for a solid effort. I was told that even though they lost two they played hard and represented well.
On a side note: Could be a big shake-up in Brainerd this summer with many new board members. President, Vice President and some at large spots open. What direction will the new board go in?, we'll see soon.

Indian, new blood is exactly what i'm talking about. Will new blood endure what many dislike that the current board stood by. Without dragging this on because this is the VFW thread i'll say this, many like how it is and some don't. What direction the new board goes will be interesting to see.

Indian and Mukker, let's keep it simple and non specific on this board. Many like Chevy, some like Ford and others like Dodge. If the new board likes Dodge how will the others who can't keep an open mind be affected and more importantly will the board stay strong or bend when pressure is applied?

Not that i'm aware of. It seems the way that the peewee and bantam A' coaches did things he and the director may've been under some heat but, both coaches still hold their positions so....

He has done a great job with that program the last few years.

Maybe this conversation should be continued in this thread started by Indian Head...

Cardinal, you may've misunderstood my comments. The board probably has taken some hits since he's been here because he's not a fluffy feel-good kinda guy and Brainerd was (is) that type of program. It seems as though they've backed him 100% because he's still here and hasn't changed from what I know of him.

Out of gas after beating EP yesterday, playing
with and losing a hard fought game to Duluth East this morning (4-1 ENG). Good play through Distircts and Regions with appearances in both MAHA and VFW State Tournaments. Great season boys, as a Hockey Parent and Fan I have enjoyed watching you develop as young men, players and a Team. I am proud of you ALL! Good Luck in your Hockey next year.

It was a great game. It was better cheering with you than against you. We enjoyed watching you send EP down in flames. They came in with way too much arrogance...while you came in with a lot of heart. Kudos to all of your team!!!!!!
