Roseau looked like they did everything well when they played Woodbury, the things like the way they go into the offensive zone when they have to puck.

Also I was very impressed with Aaron Ness quick and very good offensively.

Roseau Looks past century Ewing will play the game of his life and send the Section 1AA panthers to the championship and i also think another reason for this upset would be Rochester century is more physichal then Roseau and that might wear roseau down

Rochester Century vs Roseau

Roseau has several edges in this game all of which Century can overcome.

1) They skate and move the puck well catch and receive passes well.
2) They shoot the puck well.
3) Thier goaltender looks very sound.
4) They expect to win and play with great confidence.

Century does not move the puck as well.

Century is physically stronger, may be faster, and are more mature.

Physically Century has a large advantage in my opinion.

Top two lines for Century need to drive the puck in deep with thier feet and forecheck hard. Need to keep a forward High and activate the good rushing Dmen.

Top 4 d for Century can take this game over. They need to be up on the play skating and turning the puck over for the offense. Joining the rushes and finishing the checks.

Century Centers need to do a better job down low. Cannot let Roseau players get goiing with the puck and reach with sticks. Need to finish checks and play the body inside out in the neutral zone and dzone.
Need to eliminate odd man rushes.

I know these Century boys are physically stronger I am not sure they have the poise and composure to make the easy plays and not panic. I know if they do they will prevail.

If they make good sound plays by moving thier feet and making the easy plays and don't throw the puck away they will prevail.

I hope they get to play the Thunderhawks in the finals..

Good LUCK PANTHERS I KNOW U CAN GET HER DONE.

Nailed it, SiouxFan.
Century needs to believe they can do it, because they can.
Their strengths, as you say, make this a good matchup for them.
As some have said, their game against HM was not a fluke, but I'm glad the rest of the state thinks it was. These kids can play. A couple of the better Century guys didn't have great games yesterday.
If they do against Roseau, it will be a whale of a game. Will need to limit Roseau shots and chances by creating their own on the other end.
Go 1AA, keep it going. Looking for Knutson to step up.

I'm not saying Roseau won't have a problem with the physicality of Century, but they've had to deal with it in the past. (Grand Rapids, Warroad, Moorhead) If Roseau finds a physical Century team, they'll probably know how to react.

Again these state games may rely largly on a star player (White '06) but it goes to show that a team needs depth in order to pull off wins in the big game. Roseau does have 3 solid lines and some offensive defenseman, but a big difference in this game is if Century can turn that against the Rams. If they can bottle up the Roseau offense and have good transition hockey creating odd man rushes, then they'll have a good chance. But saying that, Roseau has speed, so it'll be interesting how both of these teams handle their gameplan and execute it.

Good luch to both teams! Go Section 8, and Go RAMS!!

After watching both teams play yesterday I would have to say that this game is coming down to goaltending. Roseau and Century both look quick and able to move the puck well, but Roseau has Mike Lee. The Century goaltender was constantly out of position last night being saved by his defensemen.

Roseau and Century are i would say really close in depth they both have 3 solid lines
top 5 point leaders for each team
Roseau:
Landman-51
Ness-51
Weston-46
Nelson-39
Voll-33

Century:
Grimstad-71
Knoepke-65
Briscoe-43
Fauple-38
Knutson-32

They match up pretty well i would say its going to come down to goaltending and if century doesnt wear down roseau physichaly im gonna take roseau 4-3 but if century can wear them down physichaly then i am gonna say century 4-3

Sorry Mustang_Man, but you can't possibly believe Century can hold Roseau to ONE goal!! Not going to happen, Roseau has too many snipers. Roseau shook off their tournament opening jitters in yesterday’s first period, and I just don’t see a letdown coming. Bottom line, nobody is going to sneak up on Roseau…Rams 6 Century 2.
