well, snakedude.... the Flyers gave the Brokeback Mountaineers all they could handle. More so than any other team STA played, including the Hilltoppers. any other first round draw and LF is playing on Friday. But it is what it is. They gave STA a scare with STA scoring two fluke goals that bounced off Flyers and one open netter at the end. Flyers pretty much played like they were on a powerplay against Blake (5-0) and hammered Mankato West (7-3).
All you other experts out there: There was not running time except that the #1 seed was running scared. More of you should listen to what Nanne has to say about the Flyers. He is a credible hockey mind unlike those of you sitting in your mommies basement pretending to know hockey.

Little Falls doesn't recruit whick makes the Hanowskis "the only thing Little Falls had"

No more JV State Champs for STA - Move up.
I heard from a reliable source that St. Cloud Cathedral tried to recruit the Hanowski Brothers to play for them when they were younger. Which makes me sick :!:

Then after heraing that festler talking about them trying to recruit him... thinking back on it, it just makes me sick, seeing how you can do that to a community.. is just asenine

Pretty sure there were mumblings about Little Falls trying to get Nate Schmidt to go up there. Talks between friends, like Nate and Ben, will always happen. One buddy says to the other, "you should come to my school." They have a laugh about it for 20 minutes then it's back to reality.

I could tell you stories about recruiting that would curl your hair. If Tech didn't try to recruit the Hanowski brothers, I would be shocked. Some of the SCC boys have been approached by other schools (some quite a ways away) for years. (first hand experience here folks...) AND many of them were public schools..

Don't get your little hankies in a knot LF folks.. your crying is getting just a tad bit old. You've gone to the big show several times, be happy as most schools never make it.

I am not a private school supporter. But Private school solicit students to come to their school all the time. They are selling a product, and I don't see anything wrong with private schools "recruiting" kids to come to their school. If you ran a private business, you want the best employees that you can get. Athletics help sell private schools...it's the way of the world.

Don’t you guys remember this rumor?
Hemingway was coming to Small Falls for his last shot at getting to the big show before he leaves high school?

I heard SCC tried to recruit Charles Lindberg from LF for its' high flying hockey program way back when, but that could have just been a rumor, too. Lindberg, however, was smart and eventually left Little Falls.

Bottom line...Absolutely no truth to the SCC recruiting rumors.

This is high school hockey. Recruiting is for college. I thought private schools were for education. Its good to know private schools stand by their "our team can beat your team" motto more than their "private schools have better education" one. Better education......yeah right........its no different than any other school in Minnesota.

after my education at STA, i was so far ahead of people for my first year of college. the study habits i was taught were invaluable and it was pretty apparent that people from public schools were not taught the same thing. having to do 3 hours of homework a night in high school ingrains habits in you.

this is not to say, however, that public schools are a bad education. some public schools are better than others just like some private schools are better than others.

I don't think St. Thomas is a class aa team.
...lol thats why the team Hill-Murray who won the AA tourney only beat STA 4-3 in OT a week before the tourney and Hill got their tying goal with 30 seconds left in the third period and then Hill scored 30 seconds into OT

If STA is an all boys school and ther enrollment is 1080 why are they in class A ?

Any Idea most other schools have male and female to make the count .

That is their enrollment doubled to account for the female species
