karl(east) wrote:"Football"? What is this "football" you speak of? I remember going to an enjoyable East-Eden Prairie game yesterday afternoon, and then there is a nice big black hole in my memory after that. It's as if it were all erased or something. Wait...hang on...I'm having these nightmarish flashes of someone in a red #7 jersey running rampant. Kyle Rau, is that you? No? Who is it? Better to just ignore it all, and pretend it didn't happen.
I would say "at least they beat the Vikings," but that really isn't much consolation at all.

What's a Kaepernick?

Who here watched The West Wing?
Is it worth watching on Netflix?

I watched the whole thing (though it's been a few years), and I liked it a lot. As long as you aren't bored by some political intrigue, and are not annoyed by people always sounding harried as they run about talking quickly, you'll like it. The acting and some of the scriptwriting is superb. The first few seasons are the best.

I'm into political TV, and considering your review, Karl, I may give it a go.
Thanks.

Yep. Required viewing for the Cafe regulars.
Next thing you know, we'll be having a book club.

Although the show thus far has addressed certain issues I don't necessarily fully agree, its a pretty good show (so far). Witty and dry humor with political issues to boot. I'd have to say Josh is the best character based on comic relief alone.

Harbaugh vs Harbaugh in the Super Bowl. No New England, no Green Bay? That'll work.

I dislike Ray Lewis, but I dislike any sports team associated with Boston even more. Yay Ravens.
It's a decent Super Bowl match-up. I'll take the Niners and see if I can run my prediction streak to twelve in a row.

I'm already tired of the Ray Lewis story angle.
Good god ya'll, get the camera off the guy. He fakes more cries than a two-year old begging for a quarter.

I still think it would be cool to see Ray Lewis win... I also think the Harbaugh story is a lot more interesting now.

I went to Barnes & Noble and didn't find it in the Fiction section.

Of course you didn't, Lee.

Oh! Next to James Frey's "truthful" bio of his stay at Hazelden. I see it now.

You're lucky I'm not a member of the Westboro Baptist Church.
