Mpls-Park 6
97 Fire 4
The Fire had a couple of decent D but the rest were smurfs. Some of the Mpls-Park '96 kids seemed 2 feet taller than some of the Fire. Considering the Fire has only played 14 games it seems like a silly waste of time and money.

Where is the waste of time and money? Sounds like it was a close game. 14 games sounds like a reasonable amount this far into the season. They look like Smurfs because they are only 97s, Mpls- Park has 95s-96s. Again, a two goal game, sounds like it was good for both sides.

Agree not a waste of time, plus most of the fire kids are normally local Minnesota kids, so save the parents time and money to travel out of state for a game.
Was there cking in the game since they played PW's?

Why is the 97 Fire playing PeeWee A scrimmages anyway? That team is half 2nd year squirts half 1st year PW's. based on birth year. Looks like a decent showing thou from the "Smurfs"

It was actually a 6-5 game in regulation time...as few minutes were added and Wayzata pulled their goalie. A great game!

Correction - The score was 6 to 5 at the end of regulation. There was time left so the coaches put 5 minutes running time on the clock. Edina scored 2 goals in 5 minutes running time. Wayzata's goalie remained in the net throughout the whole game (i.e. no open net goals).
