Being someone who normally hates upsets, I have to admit, I love this thread, heh. Let the playoffs begin and see how everything unfolds. Because we all know, as shanty coined the phrase, YES: It Can Happen.

The Cretin- Derham Hall girls team finished this season 11-11-3; 6-8-2 in the SEC.

Their section included WBL; Roseville; and defending state champ Stillwater. A group of teams that the Raider girls had not been able to beat all season. Not 1 win in 6 games vs those teams

How could It possibly Happen?

Well, I'll tell yah how.

Double overtime win in the quarters vs WBL; ovetime win in the semis vs Roseville: and a 2-1 win vs the defending state champs Stillwater for a ticket to the big dance....thats how!

Another great moment in YES: It Can Happen history.

YES: It Can Happen....God willing.

And how many #16's ahve won a game in the MNCAA BB play-offs?

And how many #8's are going to beat teh #1 in MSHSL sections in 2008?

That's right, same answer.

Sorry to be negative, IS, but it ain't gunna happen.

I would love to see Eveleth, Crookston, Richfield and Kennedy win, but they won't.

But I also want to see Warraod in the state tournament...
so I am cheering for

Crookston, Bemidji, Warroad and Park Rapids...

I am bound to have one of my teams do something good.

And I would like to see Bagley win two games.

And I would like to see Uselidinger and EGF in the finals.
And my buddy Marty's kid, a Prowler, I have to cheer for them.
And I have some friends in Hallock (Heidi) and LOW (Janice).
And Andy K over in RLF.

Okay, I hope Walker does well, too.

:D

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from this Crookston port,
Aboard this 8 Seed Ship.
The mates were mighty sailin' men,
I Shanty, carried the flame,
Sixteen passengers set sail that day
For one final game.

One final game. [ sound of thunder: crack! ]

Regardless of the outcome, hold your head high mates!

No, I thought ER or Boblee could be the Professor.

My role is simple, I put up the money to finance the whole thing.
