When Nelson was playing with the bantam team before the high school year he was so much better than the other players on the ice. I see a WHL bantam draft player USHL futures pick his decision will be what road he wants to persue

Does that mean he's, what, a 2000 birth year? Incredible.

3-1 now
Luverne can play, but this is a tall order. Hermantown has had the majority of scoring chances. A crossbar and a big toe are the only things keeping this from being an early blowout.
I'm impressed with Luverne's speed. Sounds like they are a very young team, so we'll see how things develop. They aren't out of this game, but without an extended power play or a few lucky bounces they are in trouble

Luverne has started flying a guy high and it's created 2 quality chances, plus that latest power play.
Love watching Sengvonxay run the power play. He's very smooth and composed. Made a great play to break up a Hawks odd-man rush, too.

This is by far the toughest team Luverne has played all year. The longer Hermantown let's them stick around, the more confidence the Cardinals gain. This could be one for the ages before it's all said and done.

Does anyone know if Hermantown is playing three lines or just going with two? Reason I ask is that they are starting to look really gassed.

He looked about 5'7 two summers ago and was big for his age.. Have him listed at the beginning of the season at 6'1, but looks 6'2+ now.
The Cards are playing the game and are looking good however this is not what I was expecting to see out of Hermantown. They don't look as explosive and physical as I have seen in the past.
If the Cards keep this close into the 3rd I would be very concerned as a Hawk . Cards could be leading right now had they finished on some very good chances.

I like this Luverne team! Hope they can get the job done today and knock off Hermantown. Great paced game. Don't back down now Cardinals.

Regardless of how this game ends up, gotta give some credit to Luverne. They have some very nice high end players.

i knew what types of players Luverne had and they have not dissapointed but I am very impressed with the goalie Meyer. 5 goals but with the chances Hermantown has had, he's played really well.
