Barn Burner in Eden Prairie Bantam A tonight, Prior Lake pulled off the upset 4-3 in a fun and fast paced game. The coaches from E.P. blew some gaskets after the game. (3) 2 and 10 checking from behind and a 5 min Major.

Looks like an interesting weekend up on the Iron Range this weekend with the Range teams playing host to both Hastings and Osseo Maple Grove. I would be curious to hear if anyone caught these games but based on scores from the website it looks like Hastings had a tougher time than OMG.

Osseo Maple Grove 8
Cloquet 4

Osseo Maple Grove 10
Virginia 2

Osseo Maple Grove 6
Hibbing 1

Hastings 1
Grand Rapids 6

Ep 8

Rough game, lots of penalties (go figure in D6) couple of ejections for fighting. I have to say...It was the furthest thing from a fight, it was more like a scrum then a fight. Too bad the ref was so power hungry.

Nice, my son was on that A Bantam team last year so I know Lakeville South is tough. I think we beat them once and tied them but I can't remember a 5 goal rout like this.

Moundsview is actually a lot better team than in the past few years. No one (well, except for delusional idiots) thought Stillwater would go undefeated. Bad games happen, they'll recover.

I agree very much with hudson hawk its not how much you lost by but how you recover and i am guessing that they will recover well!

Not sure if this was posted here:

Coon Rapids 3
Elk River 1

....from this past weekend. I still think Blaine may be #1 in D10 - but we'll know more in the upcoming weeks. I plan on attending the Blaine/Andover game in early December. Then there's always Centennial, one of the few teams I haven't seen yet....

Hudson, get out and see Blaine host Grand Rapids in early December too, that should be a good game to take in.

From the Burnsville Thanksgiving Tournament:

Jefferson 6
Lakeville South 0

I had to leave early, but from what I saw, Jefferson has to be one of the favorites to win this tournament. Offense, Defense, and absolutely outstanding Goaltending from Nick Schmitz. Every time I see this goalie, I am impressed. (No, I am not his Dad, or related to him - don't even know him)

It's good to see this team start to show up in everyone's Top 20 rankings - well deserved.
