Faceguard... sounds like a crock to me if your kid was that great there isn't a coach I know that wouldn't take him especially if you are like you say a parent that doesn't get involved. In my experience when kids slip through the cracks is when they or there parents carry baggage. We as coaches are selfish and want to put the best product on the ice. Sometimes we even take kids that are nutbags thinking we can change them. I have a hard time believing but I hope you aren't just spinnin a yarn.

Did the team keep track of the +/- and scoring or did the parent(s)?

For what it's worth my son went from Bantam B2 to Bantam A as well.

Did you mention in an earlier post that your son moved to Stillwater as a 2nd yr bantam and then made BA? If so, that is a little different than the same movement (BB2 to BA) in the same association.

Yes that's right. There were 3 or 4 other kids on our team last year who jumped from B2 to A in the same association however. I think all but one of our defensemen were B2's their first year of Bantams.

The Edina Peewee A team wasnt picked until after tryouts. The Pretryout sessions were set up for the coaches to get a chance to know the kids. The team is also not going to colorado this year.

A cake fight is always fun to watch, but, yes, this was annoying almost 5 months ago.
