Only consolation with this win is that there will be a private school playing in the AA tourney

Wow. Another HM/WB classic, just not in the section final this year. Good luck at State Pioneers.

If it is any consolation, at least WB can't lose on Thursday at the Civic/Xcel again (pun definitely intended).

Bahe from who else but Zepeda, as Collette lets in a softy from what I heard. Owen's disappointing career in White Bear has a fitting end

Not unless the Ponies have anything to say about it. Besides, if there wasnt a private school there, who would we all cheer against? 8)

Wow, WB seems to outplay Hill again, and find a way to lose again. Owen Collette senior year cannot end worse. he needs that one

Does anyone have the final shots? White Bear must have almost doubled Hill's total

So can anyone that was at the game tell me if the "no-goal" was legit? was the net dislodged?

wbmd, I'm fully aware. You really think the Ponies can handle the Pioneers? I'd love to see Hill lose and have the Ponies make it but I doubt that'll be happening.

I was even with the goalline in perfect view of the play. In my estimation (no bias - I only went there to watch a good game tonight), it was a GOOD GOAL. My two reasons are: 1) No whistle blew. In all of my hockey days, you keep playing until you hear a whistle and if the net was off, which it was, the whistle should have been blown. 2) The net came off the mouring from the bottom and behind the goal, so, the front of the net was essentially intact. From what I saw: The puck was delivered out front, the WBL player had the puck on his stick, the back/bottom of the net lifted up and started to dislodge forward a split second before the shot occurred, and then the goal scored as the net was indeed off.

The status of the net had nothing to contribute to the goal. No whistle had scored. In my estimation, and again, I was one of only a few hundred people that saw it from the goal line view, it should have been a GOOD GOAL, with 2.5 seconds remaining.

What happened two years ago in the section final with Woodbury and Cretin? Oh the team who didn't win either of the regular season games won the game. Also don't forget the fact that everyone looked past Woodbury. Not to mention Cretin is a private school and it just so happens hill is as well.

So everyone watch out. Don't look past Stillwater in any way. Anything can happen in the section final. Although I will say if Zepeda is dominating as much as some of you are saying then Hill has a lot going for them. The hardest thing is to stop a a player in the playoffs that just seems to be everywhere on the ice. It's just like riding a hot goalie in the playoffs.

I was also at this game and was angled right behind the end where white bear SCORED with 2.5 seconds left. The puck was in the back of the net and the red light was on then the whistle came. The net was clearly intact in front and it should have been a goal.

Thanks. Just curious what some people who were lucky enough to be there thought. Doesn't really matter now, i guess, but man WB just doesn't get the breaks. Of course, if that goal stands we have *questions* coming from the other side about why it was not disallowed. Hope i don't sound too sour, not my point, just wondering what some first hand viewers saw.
