Not sure if you noticed but those figures were from 2009.

Prices had to have fluctuated considering the economy.

Yeah, I didn't look too hard for more recent figures. Possible, I suppose.

And star, Puck was definitely at the tourney...he was spying on me from the club level. :?

Ness signed with NYI yesterday as well.

It is a bad loss for them IMO; considering who they have to replace him...

Keep letting the Rodents shoot themselves in the foot; they'll be in the Big 10 conference in 2013-2014 anyways...

I did like Adrian Peterson until he compared the NFL to "modern-day slavery"

Come on, really...?

He makes 11 million a year; that is not including endorsements.

Get real.

They're all entertainment puppets. Shut up and be happy you're a millionaire.

And how can he make a comment like that?

Don't get me wrong, it's a stupid quote, and AP deserves to be ridiculed for it. But in the dispute between millionaire players and billionaire, cartel-operating owners, I'm going to support the players. The marginal ones might as well make a little more $ to pay for their eventual brain damage...

I totally agree.

I just can't believe he would make such a ridiculous connection.

He should know better.

:D Fighting Sioux: Regular season and tournament champs! :D

Frattin should win the Hobey after scoring the GWG in each game this weekend.

I was at the game; it's good to be a Sioux fan right now. :D

I think Frats could very well win it; considering his comeback and performances. But he is up against some great players for that award.

Well, that other winter college sport is having its tournament right now, in which the Big East is having fun by choking royally.

At least my 2nd favorite team is still in it, and has a pretty manageable chance at the Elite Eight...

Baseball season is just around the corner too, though that may be hard to believe for those of you getting dumped on by blizzards this week. :P

Not that much into the March Madness this year. Probably because I didn't make a bracket. (First time in awhile)

Let me guess... G-Town is out of it.

As for baseball, I am excited for the up coming season. I'll be going to at least 5 Twins games as usual.

As for the weather, Wednesday we are currently projected to get 1-2 inches with showers in the afternoon. Not too big of a deal, Karl.

In other news, NHL D-Bag Matt Cooke was suspended for 10 games (remained of the season) and for the first round of the playoffs. He threw a dirty elbow in Sunday's game versus the Rangers. Here are some links:

Personally I think this suspension is just. Crack the whip on that crap.

Can't wait to see what Don Cherry says about this on Saturday in Coaches Corner.

Yep, the Hoyas choked against a school I'd never heard of before in the first round for the second year in a row. But mighty Virginia Commonwealth has since beaten Purdue as well, so it may not have been a total fluke. I don't follow the team as closely as many here do, but the disappointments are starting to mount.

My sports focus is mostly on baseball now. This year's Yankee team has some bigger question marks than the team normally does, but there's still an awful lot of talent there, as always. I haven't looked at the schedule yet, but I'll probably go down to Target Field a couple of times.

Good to see the NHL cracking down and suspending Cooke. That was pretty bad. (And directed at a former MN Mr. Hockey, too.)

I have to agree with Martin by what he said. Cooke is a hard worker and provides that digger/tough guy attitude every team needs; however, he's gone too far and needs discipline.

Yeah--there's a fine line between playing like the Duluth East defensemen vs. Kyle Rau and throwing elbows in people's faces.

I'll never forget Rau getting put on his ass that many times. One of them was a yard sale too.

Too bad he got the last laugh...
