So 20 MG players and their families went to Winnipeg? I didn't see any MG team on the list on the website. Did they play under a different name?

so if 20 MG players were up there for different teams, why wouldn't you just have your team up there? Were all MG players asked to play for different teams up there?

HB Miracle GOLD wrote:Miracle Gold would like to thank the 20 players and their families that participated in the NAHC in Winnipeg this past weekend.

Congratulations to the 2003's for sweeping the International Hockey Cup over the past two weekends.

These teams have played in 8 consecutive championships, winning 7...

Miracle Gold 2003 - Meltdown Invite - Champions
Miracle Black 2003 - Meltdown Open - Champions

Miracle Gold 2003 - Manitoba Lightning Spring Classic - Champions

Miracle Gold 2003 - Golden Walleye - 2nd Place

Miracle Gold 2003 - International Hockey Cup Invite - Champions
Miracle Black 2003 - International Hockey Cup Open - Champions

The facilities these players have carte blanche access to are second to none.

The training these players receive is second to none including FHIT - ESP, D-Core, O-Set and Minnesota Elite Goaltending Academy (MEGA) training by Justin Johnson and his staff.

We have program partners like Miken Hockey and Bite Tech / Armourbite that provide our players with access to their products.

After three months of the AAA season, ask yourself if you are getting all that you thought (or were promised) from your current program.

If someone was interested in next year's 2003 team, how many positions will be available on the roster?

It seems like Miracle's track record is one good season, then a total meltdown. We'll see if history repeats itself.

The 20 players participated in four different age divisions on 7 different teams. 3 of the teams (11 players) finished the NAHC with 3rd place medals (8 in Elite, 3 in AAA). Go GOLD!

How solid is the roster for next season? Are you going to be looking at any non currently rostered players for next year's gold team?

41- You don't really expect someone to have your kid on their team do you? You'd drag them through the mud within 15 minutes of being on the team on this board.

Pretty bold words by a guy that's only been on this forum for three months. Or did you get a name change back then. I've been accused of going after the MG program on this forum. Might be true, but I've never, ever seen or read more crap written by fathers who want nothing more than to see their kid on an elite team and this is the closest they have come to it. So to justify it, they talk about things like "hope of the north.". Machine, Blades, Miracle Gold. -- ehhh, not just yet. Why not talk about all the great training your kid is getting, et cetera, instead of finishing third in a watered four team tournament.

"hope of the north" was posted by HD 41, not a MG parent. Also, what about all the crap that is posted by the Blades and Made camp? Are you serious, it's the same thing. You are right about one thing, bragging about ALL of the tourneys gets a little old. At the end of the day, who cares? And does it REALY matter what team your kid plays on? No, look at the NHL website, the MN boys came from all over the state. So Blades, Machine, MG, MEGA associations, blah, blah ,blah... it does not matter at the end of the day. A kid can play anywhere and have a shot if he's got "IT" :D

It looks like a great program, but only open to FL kids. FL is very lucky, and have worked hard to have such a great facility and coaches. Drive further up north and we don't have those options, heck we don't even have a rink. Until more programs like this grow to include all kids, there will be a demand for AAA. The best program I ever had my son involved in, was a very similar thing for Mites in CR. It was two nights a week and just focused on skills and having fun. It was well run and the coaches were fantastic. This is a great model, but it would be nice if it was open to more kids. At least the ones that don't have access to facilities or coaches, for that matter, in the summer.

"Heck we don't even have a rink"

And MNH is trying to keep the private sector down? How's that for a development model? ](*,)

True-have had NB kids in the past.Ice available if maybe CL/NB Highschool coaches wanted to start something. I would like to see all kids get a chance to skate as much as they want w/out the parents subjected to huge amounts of $$$. In a perfect world I guess.

AAA programs best take note the landscape is changing fast.
You are correct, AAA teams are starting earlier and earlier every year. There were several 2005 birth year tournaments already in 2012.

Miracle Gold utilizes the top instructors in the field to help maximize each program participants potential.

John Harrington - Lead Instructor - Miracle Gold Medal Camp (July 2012)

PJ Atherton - D Core - PJ is a former U of MN Golden Gopher defenseman and professional hockey player.

•Skating Technique
•Defensive Zone Play
•Gap Control

Dan Charleston - ESP (Explosive Skating Performance) - Boys Head Hockey Coach at Robbinsdale Armstrong

•Stride Work
•Postural Endurance
•Explosive Power
•Cornering
•Power Turns
•Quick Starts
•Edge Work

Dan Donnette - O Set - Dan is a former MTU Husky forward and professional hockey player.

•Over Speed Skill Development
•Elite Puck Skills
•Creating Scoring Chances
•Playing Off the Puck
•1 on 1 Play

Justin Johnson - MEGA Goaltending - Justin is a former U of M Golden Gopher goaltender and two-time National Champion.

Our on-ice training is built on the philosophy that when goaltenders develop sound fundamentals and athleticism they will be better prepared for the multiple challenges a goaltender is sure to face during competition. This foundation of fundamentals and athleticism also allows goaltenders to develop their own style in stopping the puck giving them the freedom to play the game rather than trying to remember and follow a predetermined system.

MG Participants also have FHIT Dryland, FHIT Drop-in access, and Rink Rat Ice available to them throughout the season.
