haha yep blueblood, we were playin puck, it was the best game ive seen edina play so far (for the first two periods) and after that i think edina let up a bit and lakeville stepped it up. overall a fairly crazy game to watch. edinas startin to work more as a team and is definatly making more tape to tape passes.

That was not Edina's best game at all. You don't score 10 goals against a team and still let up 5, that's just sloppy. Edina's back check was real weak, a lot of standing around and a lack of hustle.

"for the first two periods"...they did get really sloppy, but for awhile they were moving the puck very well

It wasn't even the first period it was a close game after the first 1-0 it was 10 minutes in the second where we had a complete breakdown and gave up 6 goals. Edina was a solid team that night tho but there's no reason we should have let up 10 goals we just gave up when they started scoring and that can't happen against A good team

Edina 4
Minnetonka 3

Very good back and forth game. Too bad the game had to end by the shot clock with a little more than 1min still left

tonka v. edina

Lot's of penalties and stoppages led to hour clock running out before game clock.

Tonka played much better tonite (than Wayzata gm) and led 3-2 going into the third. Tonka penalties led to 2 ppg's for Edina and the win in the 3rd.

Tonka has played the top 2 teams (no offense Burnsville; haven't seen you yet) and showed they are capable of competing if they skate like they did in 1st period of Wayzata game and 1st and 2nd periods of Edina game.

However, hockey games are 3 periods and Tonka needs to play a complete game like they did against Wessy 2 weeks ago....

completely agree, tonka definatly outplayed edina the first two periods, they had a couple chances to bury the puck, but it just didnt happen, great play from both teams.

St. Louis Park over Eden Prairie 5-3, slp really took it took it the eagles ans got some much needed offense from star defenseman carter rodman when he moved up to wing

Burnsville loses to Champlin Park 2-1.
Burnsville came out slow and had a goal called back in the first period. (very questionable)
The game was pretty even until the third period where the refs took over. Tons of penatlies called and the hour clock ran out with almost 2:00 left. Neither team got their HEP point, and it was definatley not Burnsville's best effort.

3-2 SLP after 1.

From there, Tonka dominated outscoring SLP 5-0 in the last 2 periods to make the final 7-3.

Lot's of hormones in play tonight from both benches with a total of 3 players tossed with the Game DQ. No FPP's for either team.
