Here is the District 8 Advanced 15 roster:

4 - Heller
5 - Skeij
6 - ???
7 - Brandon Kautz
10 - Krecke
12 - Lindbergh
18 - Vessel
19 - Jacobs
22 - Nick Kuchera
23 - Merchant
27 - Beckers
29 - Sattler
30 - McFadden
31 - Chuinard
32 - O'borsky
34 - Arseutz
35 - Osterberg
44 - Nitti
48 - Brock Kautz
49 - Erickson

Chuinard is a newbie to the District 8 scene. He's a transplant from Santa Rosa, CA, but spent his formative years in Ramsey skating for Anoka and the Fire before his dad was transferred to California. He has great hands and has finally sprouted up. No, he's not my kid or relative.
Where is the 'Smartest '94 in MN Hockey' on this list?[/quote

I thought Guenzel made it.

Who is coaching this team?

Looks like many Varsity and JV kids made it.

1. Pilot SSP H.S.
,2. Mcfadden St. Thomas JV.
3. Arnetz Lakeville North H.S
4. Skeij Lakeville North H.S.
5. O'rborsky Redwing H.S.
6. Beckers Northfield H.S.
7. Sattler SSP. JV/ H.S.
8. Chinurad Shattuck prep

Bantam A players

9. Nitti Cottage Grove
10. Osterberg Lakeville South
11. Heller Lakeville South
12. Kuchera Eagan
13. Merchant Eagan
14. Lindberg Woodbury
15. Erickson Woodbury

5 ROCHESTER RED PLAYERS. Jacobs, Vesel, Kreke, Brock & Brandon Kautz Rochester Red.

Based on players I would say coach is from Rochester Red
The coach is Bill McClellan of Cottage Grove. Asst Coaches are Jason Houge and Elliot Vesper but I don't know where they are from. The GM is Rich Rakness of S. St. Paul. So much for that theory.

My theory was only 3 players from each team are suppose to tryout. I also thought it was a little curious that they took a player that played for the fire and lives in lakeville but go's to school in Faribault. Then took 5 players from a team that fields 2 A-teams and they all played for the same Rochester red team not one came from the black team. So yes I did think a rochester coach was behind this. Since any one that Coaches in D8 knows that you need to field 2 equal A-teams and that Rochester Red coach clearly didn't pick his team in that order. He should have a good team every year with 100,000 people On a side note I think the team is solid. I think they picked the right kids. They should be a Favorite with 7-8 High school players. It would have been pretty funny for D8 to pick all fire kids since they are the ones that are so against these kids.

Well their General Manager whom Riseboroughed the team is a voting member of Minnesota Hockey. Perhaps he gets a little leniency

Krecke is not on D8. rumor is, he chose not to participate. Gould from Rosemount is in his place.

Heard D6 beat D4 today 10-2. Heard D4 had to use alternate goalie for the game and lost a shattuck player because of appendix surgery.....but wow.

I also heard that D4 was missing some players and I also heard that they stopped adding to the scoreboard after it was 10-2, so it was probably even more.

I heard the Shattuck goalie for D4 did well...only gave up 1 or 2 and had a lot of shots against. To that point, I heard the puck was in D4's end all day. What I was told was D8 was very nicely balanced....but Beckers and Merchant stood out for the forwards.

D2 beat D3 4-2 with an empty net. An all around great game D2 scored the winner with 1:47 left and Blake Cates pulled a D3 shot off the goal line with 45 seconds left to preserve it. Very intense, very even both were very fun teams to watch.

good example of what goal tending can do in hockey. d 12 was out shot and out played badly in both games.

D2's defensemen played exceptionally well, allowing a small amount of scoring chances for D3. D3 had a little trouble breaking it out of their own zone, and the penalties that were called didn't help. I also thought that both the D2 and D3 goalies played well. Overall I thought that D3 just couldn't keep up with the speed of D2 towards the end of the game, and the scoreboard definitely reflected that.

D2 has some of the top D-men in the state.
