Hutch vs. New Prague

In Hutch's first real test (besides AHA) they came out on top with a 4-3 OT win over New Prague. It was a game that could have gone either way. Regardless it was a nice win for the Tiger's. Another tough test for them coming Thursday night when they go on the road to play another section opponent in Willmar. Willmar was to have played Apollo last night but I haven't seen a score yet.

Willmar....2
Apollo......6
Looks like Willmar underestimated Apollo and played their backup goalie.

I'm gonna go out on a limb @ say whoever comes out of this section will get shutout twice in the state tourney. I don't think Litchfield scored a goal last year in state. Could you imagine Hermantown vs. New Ulm or St. Thomas Academy vs. Litchfield or Warroad vs. Marshall. Sounds like 2 and done to me.

Ram Sounds like you don't like any of the teams in the sec. Maybe you should post a messages on another place. I enjoy watching games here, some teams don't have many good players but they still play because they like the game and isn't that what its all about for most? For the fun of the game!!!

Actually I keep an eye on Hutchinson every year since '93 so I pull for them. I remember the undefeated team that lost to Red Wing in the 1st round at state then won consolation

And if they make it to the tourney you still think they will get shut out twice? I don't think they will.

sregit34 and Ducks09 need to SHUT-UP!!!! MY GOD!!!! I really hope your joking because marshall will not come close!!!!! They lost to Luverne! sorry Luverne but your not that good!!! The three teams that have a chance is Hutch, NU, and Willmar. After those three, there is a huge drop-off to litch, marshall, and luverne. HUGE! The next person that predicts a team other than hutch, new ulm, and willmar to win this section should get punched in the face. I'm sorry, but it's the truth.

I also think that Hutch, NU, and Willmar ( in that order ) are the teams to beat. But I will never say they can't be beat, you just never know.

alright marshall wont win the section, though i think they could but Windom will be the winner of this section. They play solid hockey.

I will agree that Hutch is the team to beat, but New Ulm usually plays some great hockey towards the end of the season. This will be a great section to watch in the playoffs. But I'm going to go with my gut, New Ulm will take the section, third times a charm....

I'd like to wait until Hutch plays Willmar, that game could change alot of minds on who may win the sec. If Willmar wins, then NU, Hutch, and Willmar all beat each other. Right now my money is on Hutch they are playing better teams.

hutch came out flat footed to start the game and never got it going. gave up some quick goals at the beginning of the game and couldnt get one til halfway through the 3rd. didnt play there best game.

I'm not sure whether or not you're being facetious, but I do agree that Windom is a darkhorse that could win the section this year. They have some scoring talent, decent goalies, and it's definitely the best overall team they've had since starting their high school program.
In the end, though, it'll probably be NU or Hutch, due to their relative strength of schedule.

Do you even
