However not good enough today, they lose 4-1 to Warroad.

Warroad 4, Edina 1

Empty net goal at the end. Pretty even game except for 30+ seconds at the end of the second period in which Warroad scored 2 goals.

Stillwater 7 Woodbury 0
Stillwater up tempo all 3 periods, 51 shots on goal. Dahl had the trick and Cartony chipped in for 2 with very solid play. Woodbury has a couple nice players but Stillwater was too much. Sobzcek wasnt really put to task but Solid as usual and made the saves she needed to make for Stillwater. Things are ramping up, the Edina tourney should be a good one.

Shots were pretty close 25-23 at end of regulation and it was a great back and forth game. Roseau went up 2-0, then it was 2-1 when Hannah Brandt scored. Casey Knajdek back for her first game this year went coast to coast to tie it early in the third she had a big impact all day. It ended on Great 2 on 1 Mackenzie Saad pulled D and Mellie Doyle one timed the pass into the net great water bottle shot from high slot. Allie McKeever played very big in goal for HM.

January 3rd when Roseau and Warroad meet should be a great game. After this weekend I pick Warroad.

So amazing comments on hockey tough, both Roseau and Warroad brought down the classic yellow school bus for their 8 hour trip to the cities. Tougher yet the heater on the Roseau bus didn't work!

Hill Murray enjoyed hosting the very hockey smart family and fans. Roseau brought maybe 120 fans and Warroad 35-40.

WOW this appears to be one of the bigger upsets of the year! Great wint for NSP they have a group of very hard working and talented girls - they play Hill Murray 12/12 @ NSP should be a good showdown.

Centennial over Minnetonka is also a big win!

I would agree on both! There just seems to be lots of parity this year all around. With the Top 15-20 in Class AA and maybe the Top 5 or so in A, you just never know what's going to happen on any given night...

One thing for sure, Warroad had a HUGE weekend, beating both highly ranked Hill Murray and Edina back-to-back, both by significant margins. That is quite an accomplishment after their super long bus ride!

Silver Bay 4
Eveleth 0

Closer game than the score indicates. Eveleth outshot SB.

Two juniors, #4 & #15 are both really solid defensemen for SB, seldom leave the ice on short hand. Rarely give up a second shot.

MGHCA seems to be having some problems w/ getting correct scores, and/or even getting scores from coaches, as many games seem to be 0-0...
I know that this is the second time the site has had a wrong score for Mayo this early in the season...

BTW, props to AL, Mayo did not play well, but outshot AL in periods one and three, and still in the end AL had a close game.
AL skated two lines all game, and Mayo had to finally put one in the net w/ 2 minutes remaining to take the victory...
AL will do well in Section 1A, and it appears that it will be a good section w/ Northfield (undefeated), Faribault and Red Wing this year...

MGHCA doesn't have problems. The site is fine. Its the human component that doesn't always work. Some coaches aren't good at computers, some coaches aren't diligent in recording scores and some coaches don't really like the bother of inputing information. Its too bad because I think its an excellent tool for coaches to correct the mistakes made in the scoresheets and the scouts can use it to get summarized detail on stats. If your coach doesn't use MGHCA I suggest the parents of your team suggest that he or she use it.

The one suggestion I have to improve the site is that when the score and stats are being input it should not be "live" for the public to see. It seems you never know how long the process will take once it's started, and the Mayo game is a good example: whoever started it did not even finish. They should make it so that all of the data is entered first, then you would hit a "submit" button to post the final game results all at once.

Good comment but again I think that is more of a human error in which you are making a good suggestion to make it more idiot proof.

The only part about doing it live is that not all arenas are equipped with the internet and many are not going to be. The stats are entered and there is a submit button. If a coach takes it seriously it is very simple. If they really don't want to worry about it in the first place it will not be accurate and the only one to blame is the coach.

Hill Murray 7 Richfield 1

The shots were 63 to 10 the Richfield sophomore goalie was outstanding, first period was 1-1 and shots were 34-3. Johnson #4 for Richfield is a very good player.

The game was not even close other than score, AHA Dominated! Shots were like 30-6 in favor of AHA, But that is how it goes sometimes AHA is Beatable this year any game can go any way!
But don't tell them I told you that!
