Max - Whats your thoughts on the rankings...

SuperStar wrote:Max - Whats your thoughts on the rankings...
Honestly my thoughts on current rankings are a bit "scatter-brained" right now. Personally, I haven't had the opportunity to see all too much PWA hockey over the past couple of weeks. That is why I haven't posted the "Max Power Rankings" for a bit.
I think that LPH's Rankings are pretty close to my thoughts right now.
Coon Rapids = Their record deserves them at least a share of the #1, but are they equal or better than Edina? I guess I'm not sure. No doubt they deserve to be considered and are a top 2 right now.
Edina = Deserves to be there. Again, are they better than Coon Rapids? Honestly I think that they are, but they haven't played H2H. It sure would be a great PWA game to see.
I think
3-6 is pretty much dead on w/
Wayzata, Woodbury, Lakeville South, and Grand Rapids.
Eden Praire = Their scores indicate that are playing very strong hockey right now. I think they are turning into a dominating team and will continue to get even better. Should they be ahead of Eagan? Maybe.
Eagan = I think w/ the way EP is playing they should be above them, but then again I don't know a whole heck of a lot about this Eagan team.
Apple Valley #9 and Chaska #10 = Yup they are both top 10 teams and deservingly so.
11-14 seems good to me w/
Burnsville, Elk River, and Lakeville North.
15 and on = I suppose those teams are right there, but I could also see any number of another 10 or so teams being listed from 15-20.
St. Cloud = They have really improved this season. They really should have their team ranked, probably above the others and be placed at #15.
I know these are not the "Max Power Rankings" as I have been accustom to post. I just don't think it would be fair and honest of me to place my rankings right now, with out the first hand knowledge of how teams have performed over the last 2 weeks. I hope to "get back on track" and catch up so I can continue my rankings again soon.

I will have to agree with you on all those points. With St. Cloud, didn't they combine teams into one A team..? I think it's about time they did that.
Edina, from I have seen should be #1 - Without sharing it with CR. CR is very good, but I would like to see those teams play - I think the score would a 6-3 game or something, In favor of the Hornets.
The Edina Christmas tourney next weekend should be a great one. Alot of good teams there. Edina, Lakeville So., Wayzata, White Bear, EP, Fire, Colorado Thunderbirds, Rochester, Duluth East, Centennial, Lakeville No., Fargo.

Everything is fine. I just have been busy and therefore was not able to "follow things" quite a close as I did previously. My PWA fandom is back-on-track now.

1. coon rapids - solid defense very few goals given up
2. edina - nobody plays a more competitve schedule and is as successful
3. grand rapids - BIG and determined
4. woodbury - excellent skill, very well coached
5. lakeville south - excellent skill, the talent is nutured well
6. eden prairie - drops next week with a loss to prior lake
7. eagan - size and speed kill
8. wayzata - suffering from weak inter district challenges
9. chaska - 3rd or 4th best team in its district, moves the puck really well
10. duluth east - solid all around play
11. apple valley - #24 sets them apart from the rest
my top 10...added apple valley since they will replace ep, unless something goes awry at the Midwest Regional this weekend.

Drop EP and keep Chaska in the top 10? EP has beaten Chaska twice, had bad game against Prior lake - but to keep Chaska in and EP out doesn't seem right.

lakeville north ???
Either you meant to insert at # 5 the following below, or.....
you either play for North or pay for someone to play for them
- lakeville south
- moorehead
- fairbault
- anoka
- blaine
- east grand forks
- jefferson
- prior lake
- coon rapids
- st cloud
- highland
- hopkins
A team at #5 needs goaltending and more than two options at forward,, #8 and #7 are two... defense is good throughout.

Do any of you know how Buffalo peewee A is doing? And if they are any good.

Buffalo is ranked 61st out of 99 PeeWee Teams. According to MNhockeyrankings.com. They do well in district 5. But, thats where it ends.
Last 3 games vs. Eagan #8, Moundsview #24 & Jeffereson #18 they were outscored 18-2.
