Faribault should be up there. I don't believe they have lost a game yet.

Maybe I should have asked it that way.
Hey Chuck, St. Cloud #4, how could that be?
That was pre highschool when the fire were on fire with the big guns from lakeville.... the fire are not the same team

I never said Rapids wins that game if everyone is healthy. And I said a top two line forward was out. One guy. He would either play on line one or two. And yes, Roseau had a couple guys out, but I think I remember them having more skaters, hence, more endurance possibly. I also never said that having the top D back that Rapids scores 9. I am suggesting that Roseau doesn't score 9. I am not even saying Rapids wins the game. I am saying it is closer. And yes, one defenseman can make a HUGE difference in bantams. He would have logged 35ish minutes of ice time and there is a significant drop off in talent after him.

Exacly Bob

Roseau had a 6ft 2 215 lb d man out if he plays
Rapids may have scored 0000 but who knows Bob

Dick played from what I saw in the Moorhead game as well ...stop whinning Bob

Dick played in the Moorhead game? That's a good one. He was standing on the bench in street clothes. There is no whining here. There is nothing to whine about. I think you are blowing this up. And stop with the "Dick played" stuff. Zach got hurt in the early goings against Roseau. Did not even dress on Sunday.

Duluth and Bemidji Tourneys this weekend, and they do nothing to clear up matters. They make things worse. I think that it is clear that we have two top teams in the state and everyone else. Did not get scores of Duluth tourney but heard that Maple Grove Won? We are shooting in the dark here this week, with lack of scores posted, and myself only making it to a couple of games.
1. Wayzata – Plays well enough to keep top spot again
2. EP – Tied Tonka, not running on all cylinders
3. Bemidji – Meets Trojans in finals plays tough
4. East – does not win a soft tourney up north
5. St. Cloud -
6. Edina -
7. Duluth Lakers -
8. Burnsville – playing well, did they loose to EP?
9. Minnetonka – up and down games
10. Centennial – Ties Moorhead, more importantly scored more than 1 goal.
11. Champlin / Brooklyn Park – beats teams they should in D10
12. Moorhead – Tied Centennial, has team speed
13. Roseau – Solid showings up north
14. Grand Rapids – not playing well with injuries
15. Jefferson / Kennedy –
16. Eagan -
17. Woodbury – goaltender is all they have
18. Osseo -
19. Maple Grove – Back on the Board with surprising win in Duluth
20. White bear – lost to Mahtomedi

Comments....for what it's worth....
Wayzata - deserves to be big dog with decisive "W" over EP recently
EP- Back on track, couldn't possibly be worse than #2 though
Edina- Still good but not great w loss of Everson..
East - Continues to get benefit of doubt - don't know why?? What is their record against city teams this year?
Bvlle - Gaudy record but makes a Glen Mason schedule seem difficult...(why do they do that every year anyway?) Smoked by EP over the weekend 6-0. Had 15 games against un-ranked teams...
Tonka- Nice tie of EP gets strong consideration but lost 3 of last 5, marginal at best in D6...upset worthy squad though..also tied Wayzata early this year.
Centennial- Not quite the power house of recent years, but still top 10.
Champ Park- I think their best guy just went to High School---not sure though--would be major loss if true.
Rapids -Been stinking it up lately...lost to Virginia over weekend! being 14th is awfully generous.
Jefferson- Flying under the radar after slow start.
Maple Grove- Nice win in Duluth...was it a fluke or is new coaches system starting to kick in? They'll be good 2nd half of year.
White Bear....Yes they are down, but still big and tough and should remain in top 20. You wouldn't want to play them in playoffs....
Bottom line: After EP and Wayzata lots of parity.

They are a very good team, and they will definetly be put to the test this week in the St. Paul Johnson Tournement.

What is there record against cities teams? I believe they have beaten Wayzata, Edina, Shattuck, Blaine, Minnetonka...Tied EP, Jefferson, WBL. i haven't seen them play since November, but I doubt they are getting anymore of the benefit of the doubt than any other of the teams down here.

Yes, I think most, if not all of us 'bored' members, enjoy looking at them.

I don't have much right now, it is such a murky mess It is hard to find anyone worth a top ranking. I have to say that beyond the top two anyone can beat the other teams. Lets see what the Edina tourney shakes out.
1. Wayzata –
2. EP –
3. East – lost tight game to trojans
4. Minnetonka –
5. St. Cloud -
6. Edina -
7. Grand Rapids –
8. Burnsville –
9. Duluth Lakers -
10. Bemidji – lost to grand rapids
11. Champlin / Brooklyn Park –
12. Moorhead –
13. Roseau –
14. Woodbury –
15. Jefferson / Kennedy –
16. Eagan -
17. Centennial – lost to CP, Grand Rapids, Lakers, and Woodbury.
18. Osseo -
19. Maple Grove –
20. White bear –
Faribault

First off thanks for updating. I honestly think your rankings are the most right-on for youth hockey. Now my opinion. Still no Faribault? One multiple overtime tournament loss to a Lakeville team. I will hear about schedules. Trust me on this one, some of these youth hockey schedulers, whether it is a coach or a manager, are some of the most arrogant people in the hockey community. You just can't get games with the top teams. Try to catch a game. They are pretty good.

Minnetonka at #4? They haven't beat anyone above them and have lost to plenty of teams below them.
D Lakers at #9? - Ditto
Osseo at #18? - not even a top 35 team.
Those that deserve to be higher: Rochester Red, Maple Grove, Champlin Park, Grand Rapids, Moorhead.

Lakers at 9 are u kidding Rapids beat them 5-1 and the reason y they beat centenial is because they had a hard fought game against Rapids a few hours before which i heard was a very physical game for a cities team. Also Osseo shouldnt even be a top 35 they also lost to Rapids 6-0 .

Two Good tourneys this last weekend. OF course with a year of no clear cut top tier of teams, things are mixed up again. If there was ever a year to debate a top 20 list it would be this year. This is just my take.
1. EP – Have been playing well after a couple of tough losses.
2. Wayzata – Lost to Edina, without their best player, still a great team
3. Edina - Great play this weekend, wins their own tourney again!!
4. East – lost to woodbury, not playing great
5. St. Cloud - not a bad weekend, but could not play with the big boys.
6. Grand Rapids – Having a good week and playing well
7. Burnsville –
8. Moorhead – Playing well
9. Woodbury – Good weekend besides hiccup to Alaska
10. Minnetonka – drops championship to Stillwater
11. Stillwater - had a great weekend, whats next
12. Jefferson / Kennedy – over fire in 3rd place game in tourney
13. Roseau –
14. Champlin / Brooklyn Park –
15. Duluth Lakers - drops a big game to Rapids
16. Eagan - played well till beat up by the Hornets
17. Centennial – scored 13 goals in 3 games, are things changing?.
18. Bemidji – drops big game to Moorehead big time
19. White Bear- I know they are capable of beating most teams, just haven't
20. Maple Grove – not a great weekend in bloomington
