EP Red 1, Jefferson 1
1 penalty in the game.
15 minutes of OT.
Full game in 60 minutes. Good pace, not many icings, not many offsides. Good solid game.
Props to blueblood:
Tonka 3, Chaska 2
Both teams keep the HEP point.

Blueblood's D6 update

by blueblood
Here are the updated "unofficial" D6 standings as of 2-9-07 @ 10:00pm:
1 seed - EP Red 37 pts. Remaining game: Black
2 seed - Edina Green 34 pts. Remaining game: none
3 seed - Burnsville 31 pts. Remaining game: Tonka
4 - Edina White 30 pts. Remaining game: none
5 - Jefferson 30 pts. Remaining game: none
6 - Chaska 28 pts. Remaining game: none
7 - EP Black 27 pts. Remaining game: EP Red
8 seed- Tonka 24 pts. Remaining game: Burnsville
Edina White owns tie breaker over Jefferson
Jefferson owns ties breaker over EP Black
Black and White split during the regular season.
If Black beats Red and earns FPP, there will be three tied teams with 30 points. Not sure what happens...

im pretty sure if they all get 30 pts, the seeding would be
4. Edina White
5. Jefferson
6. E.P. Black

Pretty sure Bville owns tiebreaker over Green, so a 3-pt night on Sunday could move them into #2 . . .
I can see many scenarios amongst the 30 pt teams . . . not sure how D6 will solve the puzzle. I know the MWR tourney tiebreakers did not go like I expected . . .these may not either . . . (Oh, and Black and White split, but White lost a FPP, so Black holds that tiebreaker. . . It's a carousel tiebreaker.)
If the bypass the first tiebreaker because of the carousel, next is most wins . . . that favors White . . .Jeff and Black still tied (w 8 wins) . . . next is least losses, which favors Black over Jeff with 4 v 5 . . . but, if they give White the most wins, then go back up the tie breaks to head to head, then Jeff gets the 5 spot.
And if Black lays an egg on Sunday there are a half dozen scenarios between Black and Chaska . . .
It's just not over until Sunday night!

Need some help from jags folks, but read the D6 tie breaking policy carefully . . . "Head to head competition AMONG THE TIED TEAMS, determined by points . ."
It doesn't just mean head to head, it means the cumulative points for each team against all the other tied teams. Now, I have one meeting between Jeff and White with neither team getting a FPP (am I wrong?) . . . and when I add up cumulative points, I get (assuming again that Black wins and keeps the FPP Sunday) Black with 6 head-to-head pts, Jefferson with 5 and White with 4. Now, if Jefferson actually got the FPP vs Edina, they would have 6 and we would go to least losses, which would still favor Black with 4 vs 5 for Jags.
All in how you interpret it . . .or how the District interprets it.
So, the Jags, White Hornets, Hawks and Red Eagles will be cheering for the Red Eagles on Sunday. Anyone else? . . . .At least I know the Bears will be cheering for the Black Eagles. (Congrats on the nuptials, by the way. Hope all went well!)

yes if black does the unthinkable, and chaska and black tie then the tie breaker goes down to a best of 3 rock, paper, scissors contest.
I'm pulling for black because Chaska will get what they have earned by the way they have treated the regular season with their inconsistent play and arrogant, lackadaisical attitude many times.
Congrats to Tonka for playing an inspired first period, recovering from a lackluster 2nd and battling all the way through the 3rd for a very nice win.
Shots were like 29 to 19 (I think) in favor of Chaska. Tonka got all their goals in the first 9 minutes of the game. Yeah, imagine that; a must have game for Chaska and they come out uninspired leaving the starting goalie out to dry numerous times. Tonka goalie played extremely well.
Nice job Tonka keep it up against Burnsville and take all three points.
Good luck EP black, I'm pulling for you.
Chaska I'm just shaking my head wondering if you guys will evet get it?
It is now win or go home. It's a big hole you guys dug for yourselves I wish you well try to get out of it. Take away the 4 games against Waconia and Prior Lake - Not very impressive

Do you really think that blaine and chisago are better than elk river?
I would say elk river is the better of the 4 teams
at least thats what I think from looking at the scores from them playing each other
