Haven't heard this players name before. What's his background?
He was a fourth line player last year. Although he did make one of the High performance teams in the spring.
I think he played on the third line at state.

I took Walker and Hurley off the list as I still don't have confirmation that they've moved on to the WHL or the USHL respectively. I noticed that neither is on an Elite League roster though, but it could be they are just considered too young.

The Hub has Hurley listed on the Team Southwest roster.

List Tich, Lang, Tema? I think some others too. Is there a Barnes at Burnsville that's leaving for the NA?

Where does it say that he made the team? Still unconfirmed I'd say.

This is not meant in any way to be a knock on the kids or the family - I have absolutely no connection to the situation and no idea what factors they considered, and I don't doubt for a second that they made this decision after a lot of thought - but does anyone have any idea why the Walker kids have completely rejected the prospect of college hockey? Again, I'm in no way saying they did anything wrong, and I really hope they have success and everything works out for them, but it does strike me as a bit odd - the older one has already been passed over in the NHL draft twice and is obviously no sure thing, and the impression I've gotten is that the younger one, while extremely highly skilled, might have questions regarding his size in the long run, and seems more like someone who'd be a good four-year college player. It just seems from a distance like these weren't kids in a situation where the junior hockey in Canada is the logical choice (like Peter Mueller was, for example).

Seems absolutely logical. Both are securing their education while playing hockey. Its a win-win for them

No, he's already committed to play his senior year at Grand Rapids.

And you are in such a great position to share someone's alleged weaknesses with the world? Save this kind of stuff for the rink when you are standing with your buddies behind the boards off in the corner near the net.

Lower number but higher quality destinations for the most part.

These are only new departures as some others are gone for their second season.
