Oh for sure, I think twice was plenty.mngopherfan wrote:How many times do you need to shake hands? Honestly.hockeywild7 wrote:Grand Rapids was classless during medal presentation. Woodbury players individually shook hands with the Grand Rapids players as they got their 2nd place medals but when Woodbury got their the Rapids players did not shake their hands as is customary. Grand Rapids coaches and players showed no class at all, very disappointing to see after a great game that could have gone either way.
I know John Rothstein a bit and cannot imagine his team not having some class and accountability, win or lose. Congrats to Woodbury Bantam A for earning what I believe is their first youth title.hockeywild7 wrote:Grand Rapids was classless during medal presentation. They are a very classy group, kids, coaches, and parents...northwoods oldtimer wrote:I know John Rothstein a bit and cannot imagine his team not having some class and accountability, win or lose. There are no plans at this time to start an East Ridge Youth Association. Numbers in Cottage Grove are lower and Woodbury will start fielding two A teams at each level.old goalie85 wrote:More kids will go to Hill then Woodbury. Will Eastridge be starting a youth assoc?
Not sure this is entirely true but there are a few moving to Hill. There are about as many going to East Ridge, purely by geography.old goalie85 wrote:More kids will go to Hill then Woodbury. Will Eastridge be starting a youth assoc?
Geez man get over it! We are all sorry that your kid didn't get his third handshake of the day from the Grand Rapids kids. Woodbury beat Grand Rapids, there are you happy??? Funny i didn't hear you comment on the Wayzata kids not shaking the EGF kids hands during that "customary" handshake. Its just not that big a deal. The Wayzata and Grand Rapids kids showed that respect in the true customary handshake when the boys line up at center ice. So before you start throwing out words like classless at a bunch of 15 yr old kids, maybe you should show a little class yourself.northwoods oldtimer wrote:I know John Rothstein a bit and cannot imagine his team not having some class and accountability, win or lose. It happens to White Bear every year, its only going to get worse unless the powers at be get rid of the private schools in the HS tourny.
if you are inferring that I'm a player ad want to hear someone talk about me, your wrong. I was there but as a fan. I just want other peoples opinions on other players that stuck out to themstarmvp wrote:A player posts this questions every yearAkabat wrote:What players stuck out to you guys?![]()

When does this tournament you speak of take place? sounds like something I would like to see, I think it could take off if people became aware of it.hockeywild7 wrote:wonders if any of you have ever watched the Minnesota boys state high school hockey tournament. Have you ever watched the awards ceremony after the game and they have gone through the handshake line? Well I have and it is customary to shake medal winners hands as they get their medals. It happens every year maybe you should watch it. In fact it is a custom at every level of hockey. I wonder how it would have looked on TV if Minnetonka refused to shake Edina players hands as they got their medals. Maybe this is just a city thing, I don't know but if it is I appologize for assuming it was done statewide.
Are you slow in the head??? After the game, when both teams are done patting their goalies on the back and line up at center ice, that is the custumary handed shake. Any others are extra and not neccasary. The two teams teams shook hands and the fact of the matter is both teams were classy. Congrats to woodbury on a great season. You need to get over it and move on with your life..hockeywild7 wrote:wonders if any of you have ever watched the Minnesota boys state high school hockey tournament.
