Saw this on the girls youth forum...
"to all you girl AAA scouts for summer league I was at a U-10 tourney over the weekend in faribault and number 9 from faribault had 5 goals in 3 games playing both D and wing and also her line mate number 6 was tearing it up there goalie also had some amazing saves with a shut out for the first 2 games with 15 plus shot on her each games as a second year tender" 5 hole sniper
Since there were no AL team in this 10UB tourney it sounds pretty much like you're a F'bo resident. I didn't think you were a player and given your grammar my guess was that you're fairly young. If you played against these F'bo guys then you probably know their names better than anybody else.

how about some conference game scores for tonight?
mankato west loss to faribault 5-1. It was a better game than the score tells. West skated with very well with the falcons for the 1st period, score after the first was still 0-0. Kaufman the goalie for west saw about 40 shots and played a good game.

Winona beat Farmington 8-6 in a come from behind victory with an empty netter. Farmington came out strong the first period and it was 4-1 around halfway through the second, but the Winhawks came back and fought hard. Winona had some mediocre at best defense, but their scoring more than made up for it. It was a nerve wracking but fun game to say the least.

Poor game by the Spartans...played a nice 1st period, but then lackluster after that. I mean at least work hard for 51 minutes once and see what happens! JM fought hard throughout and it showed on the scoreboard at the end.
Way to go Red Wing!!! Anyone know the shots?
I doubt Lourdes will do much this year....their coaching is way over-rated and they lost way too much talent!

HockeyNut you are right on!!!! Very poor game for the spartans especially defensively. It was a great first period in which Mayo won and controlled most of it. Defensive breakdowns have been plaguing this team thus far. Giving to many breakaways which accounted for at least one goal in this game. Mayo is the better team overall but You have to give it to JM for there hard work and hustle last night. They also made the most of Mayo's mistakes (defensively). Mayo's powerplay is very difficult to watch and it needs alot of work. Overall it was a close fun game to watch.

was at the faribault vs west game last night, faribault looks good, they have now beat new prague and west two of the top teams in section 1A the last few years, faribault looks pretty solid all the way around, well coached and their kids worked hard, their defensemen looked solid, and their forwards moved the puck well, Putrah (hat trick) and their other two captains are both top notch players, hard to tell about their goaltending because he was never made to make any challenging saves, west has, at least at this time no offensive flow, only goal in last two games scored by defenseman Campbell, west defense has campbell and jose they are solid, but after that the other defensemen on the west squad were very shaky, west goalie made a number big saves to save their butts after they got beat, but he also let in a couple that with better rebound control should not have gone in, overall he was ok, west has now played two of the top three teams in the conference in Winona and Faribault with Century being the other contender, should get better for them if they can find the back of the net,

West needed to take make the most of the shots they did get to win that game, and they some had chances in front of the net and in the slot but couldn't bury one until the powerplay in the 3rd. West played with a lot of grit finishing checks and working hard, didn't look anything like the team that played Winona a week ago.

that's the word I've been hearing, that if that West team had shown up against Winona, things would've looked a lot different.
A few key matchups for teams today,
Fergus Falls at Red Wing
Mankato West at Prior Lake
Rochester Century at Rochester JM
Mankato East at Winona
New Ulm at Faribault
Albert Lea at Rochester Mayo
Farmington at Owatonna
Gotta' Love a fun filled saturday with hockey!!

any reports on the games ?
East took Winona into OT after being down 3-1 with a couple of minutes left but a few big saves in OT by Welle and a GW Goal by Aaron Theis sealed the 4-3 OT victory for the Winhawks.
There were a lot of bad and missed calls in that game including a waved off goal in the first period for Winona and a Mankato East Penalty Shot with 10 seconds left in the game that tied it up.
But overall it was an entertaining game, but once again a defensive struggle on the Winona half.

west loses to prior lake 5-1, campbell gets the goal for the scarlets again. a game with alot of penalties, west had at least a periods' worth of penalties.
west won't win games if they rely on campbell to score all the time. they need one of those upperclassmen to step up and be the scoring punch on this team if they are going to win games
also just wondering who got the penalty shot from east?

Tyler Ries took it i do believe. he deked the goalie and went to his backhand and the shot went off of Winona goalie Welle's pad and in
