What do you put on your kids note to get out of school early today, they are obviously going to the state tournament games with their friends

Since our spring break usually started the weekend of the State Tourney, my parents used to just write that we were leaving early for Florida, Arizona, etc.

Vancouver excuse is the best. Didn't vote for the BSM one because they are better than more than half the teams in the tourney

I remember in high school we always had to have a parents note to leave for lunch. I left quite often and my dad eventually got tired of having to always write notes. One day he wrote one out and I didn't bother reading it before I handed it to the school secretary and when she read it she give me an incredulous look and asked, "so you're having brain surgery today at lunch time?"

All I could tell her is that my dad thought it was a stupid rule and was tired of writing notes.
