I was actually surprised how well he moved with the puck.eastsideguy wrote:not sure about skating ability at next level but boy is he big and strong

opinions do not make facts. Watch the kid play a year, then get back to it. I watched Benick play a couple games, thought he was over rated too. Only time will tell.

This is Johnsons best chance to make some noise in the Tri-metro. They have a solid forward group lead by Dickman, but both goailies from last year were Seniors.BlueLiner wrote:So, how will Jay and the GOVS look this year? I'm wondering what those of you who've seen JD play think his prospects are beyond the high school level? As I said I talked to his dad last year and the family would like to see him in the USHL next year, but what are his odds for, say, D1 or other juniors or professionally?
With his size that's an enormous plus for any player. I would just like for once more in my life to see a Govie do something much greater, like Progreba and Lyons and Eastman.
