Okay, so Dan Otis and Tyler Oliver assisted on a power-play goal by Justin Oliver, correct? I will go with that since you are a first-hand observer.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Has to be the kid from Cloquet. He's the only one who plays anyone.

Hurley's played Edina, CDH, Burnsville, Elk River, Roseau, Blake in just 8 games so far this year. I don't know where he ranks but the kid sure doesn't look like a freshman.

Aaron Dietmeier scored another goal in Tuesday's game. Silly Freshman forgot his jerseys so on hockey hub goal was given to a jv kid who has never even dressed varsity.

As far as most talented, this kid has to be up there. Big and strong for only a freshman....

Thursday games:

Gordy Vitek and Tyler Arenz each put up 1 goal and 1 assist as their Legacy Christian Lions downed St. Paul Highlands 6-4.

Brad Rowlee got his team's sole goal as Silver Bay lost to Eveleth 6-1. He is the team's #2 scorer and involved in 30% of their goals.

Keegan Iverson helped Breck down Minnehaha Academy 19-0 with a goal and an assist. Frosh Derek Wiitala picked up 3 assists.

Princeton dropped to Cambridge 4-3 despite Collin Buness (1g) and Jake Green (1a) picking up a point each.

Sam Ecker assisted on both goals as Prairie Centre went down 4-2 to Morris/Benson. That makes 11 points for Ecker so far, all on assists.

Teemu Kivihalme scored a goal for Burnsville as they defeated Apple Valley 5-4.

In a game that I listened to (yeah, Teak! ), Kyle Sylvester scored a goal and assisted on another as Warroad beat their rivals Roseau 4-1.

Karson Kuhlman with 1g and 1a in Cloquet's 4-3 win over the Superior (WI) Spartans. But, I mean, pfffftt....who are they?

<SARCASM ALERT>How can we tell KK's talent (that of a 15-year-old) when he is playing 15-, 16-, 17- and 18-year-olds? I mean, come on, a high school freshman playing...what?...other high school players?! What kind of joke is that?? Let's see how he would do against the Chicago Blackhawks, eh? Now there's a test for ya.

Happens every year....<yawn>.

Andrew Zerban with 1g and 1a as Elk River blanks North Metro 15-0.

Justin Paul scored a goal as La Crescent beat Viroqua (WI) 4-1.

Connor Hurley with the big night, 1 goal and 3 assists as Holy Angels defeat Chaska 7-2.

Karson Kuhlman has a great stride, it is very long and smooth. The kid has tremendous patience and confidence with the puck. He isn't afraid to make a play and due to the quality of his hands and his exceptional speed he can beat a lot of defenders. In my opinion he is Cloquet's best player, every time he is on the ice he does something that impresses me and is also very unselfish. He has great vision and a good shot. He also does the little things, chippy in front of the net, always in position, and is also very vocal and seems to have great knowledge of the game. Once in a while he will make a rookie mistake and panic with the puck but that rarely happens. He is undersized a little bit (but as a freshman who isn't) but his speed and tenacity make up for it. I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves Cloquet early if he continues to develop. Very good player has to be the top Freshman playing high school hockey in the state.
