Yes, that 2005 team was a great team, but East's goalie played well, and Zach Faust didnt have his best game...
Section finals lately has been WB outplaying HM, and getting beat nonetheless. 2006 Was a great game, and a goal scored on a pp in OT. That call never should have been made. '07 and '08 Sager completely outcoached Lechner, outplayed Hill, but POOR goaltending has cost the Bears. Whatever happened to WB's strong goaltending(Meyers, Arnio, Anderson, Faust?????????My prediction in a perfect world= WB 5 HM 4
My prediction in reality=HM 6 WB 2
Both teams should be "up" for the game, and if WB's goalie can stand on his head, and Birkinbine and Wahlin can get the offense going, they have an outside shot.
Go WB!
I think WBL's good goaltending left with its 2-3 D1 defensemen that played in front of those great goalies each year....? hmmmm thats an interesting thought good defense to help out the goalie might be a factor? I don't remeber Faust really ever winning WB games only a reason they lost his defense was so good he never had to make big saves.

Is Sager still trying to use his version of the Torpedo(?) offense?
A few years ago, at a coahes clinic, he mentioned that he was working on it.
Man wouldn't that be great!

Sampair goal
I feel sick after this one, going to bed.
I'll start anew tomorrow.
And relating to the previous topic about Wolter, he might be as explosive as he was Soph. year, but he's a nice kid with some class.

This was my first time seeing the Bears this year so it might be an unfair assessment after only witnessing that game, but they looked mediocre at best tonight. Their defense was miserable throughout the course of the game, and if not for some solid saves by Schletty the score would've been even worse. The lone bright spot on offense was the play of the Wahlin Birkinbine Wolter line, but even they underachieved somewhat and whenever they got a chance, they weren't able to bury it. Hopefully the team can turn it around; there's no way they'll get anywhere come sections playing the way they did tonight.
