Edina let up a lot after the first period, they literally stopped forechecking SLP, and dumped it in 75% of the time.defensedad wrote:mulefarm wrote:What should Giles do? Tell his players not to score. The game should have never been scheduled.
The schedule is what it is. The score running up discussion is not new. It will be interesting to see the 3rd period scoring in the paper tomorrow! Were they doing it to get a hat trick or what. The right thing to do would be to tell the players to pass 3 times than shoot. Maybe they did this and I do not know. I was not at the game. Either way this should not happen. Did SLP do something to Pi@$ them off? Thoughts.

The truth hurts
So let's start handing out "fair play" points to all the good little PC teams that don't get more then three penalties in a game also. Edina smoked SLP and that's just the way it is. Get over it. I'm sure Giles called the dogs off but sometimes the other team stinks so bad there is nothing a coach can do. To tell your team to start developing bad habits by taking stupid penalties just to make it "fair" is a joke. SLP can lick their wounds, learn from the butt kicking and move on.Goldfishdude wrote:defensedad wrote:mulefarm wrote:What should Giles do? Tell his players not to score. I have always lived with the philosophy that in a large lead and the game was not in doubt, take a couple penalties like "too many men" or "delay of game" where the puck gets shot out of the rink, to waste another 30 secs to minute, and then have your team work shorthanded situations.
