Stillwater 2
Mounds View 1
OT

Mounds View has lost 4 straight and 3 of them in OT against good teams. The other loss was 3-1 against woodbury in a good game. With the recent news about hill and with their tie against tartan earlier today, 4AA is very even and many teams have a possiblity of winning. I would still say Hill is the front runner but I think you could expect 1 major upset in this section.

Excuse my ignorance, but what schools make up the 4AA? I know that the sections don't always break-out along conference lines.

White Bear Lake?
Mahtomedi?
Woodbury?
Hill-Murray
Mounds View

So, it just shows that I am lazier than you are!

IMHO it looks like it will be Hill, WBL or Tartan coming out of this section. If someone were to beat Hill-Murray, the HM fans will get to say "But if we hadn't lost THOSE four players....."

I listened to last year's section final between WBL and Hill and it was sooo close. Here's to hoping for a new section champ this year!

Eagan- 4 (EN)
Eastview- 1

Friedman was double shifting on Defense for Eastview tonight later in the game, interesting I have never seen him back on D but with their struggles lately back there maybe it could help if they continue to do that.

Apple Valley- 1
Chaska- 5

Apple Valley outshot Chaska 41-30. Nanne played in goal for AV tonight. I really question this move by the coaching staff. Nanne has a slow glove, and slow reactions in general and gives up many rebounds right in front of the goal. Gretz is their better goalie and deserves to play night in and night out. Chaska's goalie played very well and I was impressed with their 1st line tonight as well. Hulbert for AV on defense was really off his game tonight didn't play well at all.

Hulbert and Smith from Apple Valley were both suffering from the flu tonight. Maybe a reason why he didn't play so well.

Thanks for clearing that up, that could have been a factor for those two tonight.

Indians - I like your attitude!
I think GR's tough schedule and ups and downs this year will certainly help them come sections. They have talent and are coming together as a team a bit more with every game.
Here's to hoping they'll get the W's when they really count!
