They got beat by the defending state champs and a team that is ranked #1 in the state this wasn't just some chump team like Morris Benson. Come on recruit you are smarter than that.
I agree, at least Warroad isn't playing a bunch of JV teams

Git-R-none.....go to bed...seriously
That is exactly what your girlfriend said....later
I've constantly said Park isn't much better than 2-3 years ago...Support them I will, however I'm not the one gloating on here about how good they are. Lehrke is a stud, McMorrow is promising, but none of that matters until they make it out of 8A, and that's what I've said from day 1 here...

Me and my boys....if boys you mean people on this forum I dont know...I dont even know most of the gallery on this site....and honestly...with my ego..Im sure ill be back for more next year....if that is what ur asking...no matter what the outcome may be
None of those teams are having great years but TRF and Crookston are definitely playing tougher teams...........and they did NOT at all route DL.

It's people like this that really get me. People that chime in on garbage they know nothing about. PR started their HS program in 1990-91. They were in Section 4A until 1998. They have 25-30 kids that tryout for Varsity and that's it.. Quite honestly, they're even lucky to still have school sports. TRF, Warroad, and every other Section 8A opponent have 10x the history that Park does. Teams will schedule Crookston because they've played Crookston for years. They schedule LOW for the same reason. There is no other explanation because PR has been just as good or better than 3/4 of the respective 8A teams for 5-6 years now. This is like going after Kittson Central for not playing the Roseau's of the world more often...
Elliott, Shanty, and every other person with 1/2 of a brain knows this and it's been beat to a drum for 3-4 years in here and still people don't have a clue...
Appearently snapdog wasn't interested in the first part of the post, I thought this thread was about how Park Rapids will not lose BEFORE section tournement, therefore implying that they will walk through their schedule. Evidently its about praising the Panthers, OK, go Panthers.....
It is exactly the point that teams like Park Rapids cannot schedule tougher opponants, but no one forced them to be in the Mid-Sate conference either. After seasons like this, maybe they pick up a few tougher teams...who knows, everyone starts somewhere.....Wadena picked up a few better games, Little Falls added to a decent CLC schedule and now have a decent non-conference schedule, but really the only way to prominance in a given section is to prove you can play with the big boys, so scheduling more section 8 teams, or winning in the playoffs will help, but there will always be questions as long as a program hasn't done anything. Hard to swallow, yes....but true....
Most HS coaches know how well a surrounding program bantam A team performs.
If Bantam A's are winning or playing your bantam A team well, then they will put you on their schedule (if you have room and want them on your schedule).
Some games will be on your schedule because the other town is 20 miles away. Some because you are in the same conference, some because they always have been, some because the coaches are friends, cousins, or played together in HS. A drastic change in scheduel is hard to accomplish.
Bemidji and PR scrimmagedthis fall. I am sure a game will be on the schedule depending on 1) if PR has room (Bemidji will probably drop River Lakes and I am pretty sure the Coon Rapids contract is fulfilled so that spot will need to filled.) and 2) PR's youth program is showing any the of success.

Not hard to swallow for me. I would love Bemidji and Warroad on their schedule twice a year. And, quite frankly, both teams should play them if they're going to remain in 8A(which will happen in Warroad land because they all wear skirts up there). 4-5 years in the top part of this Section deserves a 2 year look at the least, IMO...

Most of the common opponents PR played were in the Mid-State. Thus, the reason for being there. Where else would you put them? The Mariucci?

Sometimes you are forced into a hockey conference because your team is there because of football/basketball.

I believe all of the Mid State teams were there because they were part of Section 4A until PR got moved to 8A in 1998...
Yes I would put Park Rapids in the Marriucci conference, why not?? They play in section 8a, what a better way to get acqainted. They compete with East Grand Forks and Crookston already, probably will be a good game if PR doesn't win against Thief River Falls this year. Finally, Detroit Lakes left the Mariucci a long time ago and now Fergus Falls is in the Central Lakes, so the Mariucci only has 7 teams, not that that conference really is set in scheduling or for that matter has a real true champion, but if they did.....

Shwag...here's a two parter for you
1. Your team has played Warroad twice in the play-offs losing 13 - 0 and most recently 4 - 0 and the team basically goes back to a solid 6 seed next season why would they burn a game or two on a Carp. Funny part is your trying to call out Warroad when your program isn't even close.
2. Mariucci...only three teams have won it PR wouldn't compete so those two words don't belong in the same sentence.

That would be as smart as putting a tape deck in your car. This conference has never meant anything, disband it, everybody doesn't play each other anymore the way it is.
