Hockyman1606,

When did tomASS indicate it was like Chaska won the state title. And no need to be bitter about the loss. It really doesnt matter until playoffs.

blueblood- Congrats on the 6-0 win. You tired out Edina and took it to them in the 3rd, they looked clueless out there because of how you took it to them.

First of all,
We know EP red did not show tonight. Wether it be coming off a long weekend of hockey or just the fact that Chaska is a good team. Chaska wanted that game tonight....badly. Ep just didn't bring it. How often in the past ten games has EP not brought it and won. This is the first district loss boys. Let's not bring in the whislin Mama either. She had no bearing on the game and its a good wake up call, However, the Chaska dude makin the Frazer comment and then seeking out the coaching staff of EP.......get real. Mr. Chaska Frazer guy, you don't want to have the Fauster bring it because he would dispose of you like a baby's soiled diaper. You must have whats in a babys soiled diaper for a brain. Chaska played great tonight, and why don't we leave it at that.

Sounds like Chaska played a great game. Was this person people are refering to a kid or an adult and where his comments directed at the team or the coaches? If it was an adult, I hope they weren't directed at the players. That would be totaly classless. I thought this Forum is supose to be used to get the frustrations out so we don't have to witness nonsense at the rink.

Chaska vs. EP

Post by blueblood »

IM4U2C:

tomASS did not seek out the EP coach you identified as "the Fauster". He stormed off the bench into the corner towards tomASS just after the empty net goal (about 1 minute left in game time). At no time did tomASS "seek" out the EP coaching staff as you suggest.

BTW, your comments about "the Fauster" disposing the Chaska parent like a solied diaper are another indication of moronic fervor over youth sports. What kind of message does that send to players and everyone else in attendance? I'm not condoning what anyone said, but leaving the bench shows no restraint or composure. Coaches should not be leavin the bench UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE OTHER THAN PLAYER INJURY, PERIOD!

EP Red is too good a team to get into a pissing match over some comment made by an excited parent. When you are the hunted, you need to expect that.

almost every team has the over eager parent trying to be funny or overly exuberant. we have a guy on our team who claps loudly and cheers every time his kid comes on the ice, i think he thinks it motivates his kid to play harder? i find myself not seating by him during games.

i dont know why the whistle lady feels the need to give that shrieking. hard on the ears whistle. i wish i could whistle like that, my dog could hear me from a mile away

we live in a competitive world, but we have to remember our children learn from our actions.

enjoy your kids hockey while it lasts, with no regrets when they are done playing

the Fauster

Post by ohMY »

That's funny - if in fact "the Fauster" left his players on the bench during a game to confront a parent for any reason - I believe it's an incident that should be reviewed by the D6 disciplinary committee. Soiled diaper?

A couple of things.

1. EP Red you are going to have to suck up the exuburance of opponent parents and players. Take it as a compliment. Everyone is gunning for you and emotions will be high every time you play someone. If you guys as coaches get too emotional the players will respond with too much emotion. In the scheme of things this game doesnt matter to you. It means a whole lot to Chaska. That is what being #1 is all about. They all want to beat the best. Watching Wayzata play this year has made me realize this. Their team is completely different and they are no where near as strong this year but every time they are beat it's a complete ruckus celebration.

2. Chaska you guys have been tooting your own horn all year long. Making excuses everytime you lose to someone. Your coach is over confident and so are your players. I dont believe this game is going to put you over the hump. So settle down. Taunting is not the answer. Saying that Fraiser was a great fighter does not justify what was said. It was pretty classless. Its not a good example. Especially since EP Red has been a pretty sportsmanlike team this year.

Chaska tooting it's own horn?

Post by ohMY »

Not sure the basis for the comment - seems the vast majority of commentary by folks that could be possibly attributed to Chaska have been more or less railing on the team for it's lack of unity, individual and crappy play.

as for the coach - gimme a break - if you asked him before or AFTER the game he would have readily acknowledged EP Red has been proven to be a top flight team and a consistent winner and that his own team, while exhibiting solid ability AT TIMES, has proven to be mediocre at best.

Frazier

Frazier guy was at the far end of CCC1 (the end Chaska was shooting on in the 3rd) which happened to be the same end as the EP bench.

Hmmm..

I'm starting to wonder why Frazer was down at that end of the rink. It's starting to look like he wanted to start something. Is he a coach or manager. Please tell me he's more than a parent. Parents have special places in ice rinks. It's called the bleechers.

If you know this guy, you'd know that he always stands at the end his team (Chaska) is trying to score on.

He wasn't trying to start somethin' as you allude to. [-(

awesome,

I couldn’t totally agree with you more “that our children learn from our actions”.

BlueBlood,

You hit it on the head that, “Coaches should not be leaving the bench UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE OTHER THAN PLAYER INJURY, PERIOD!

And you wonder why articles are written about out of control hockey parents and players.

Maybe parents on the bench shouldn’t be coaching their own children at this level anymore?! Maybe they need to sit up in the stands and see what the rest of the parents have to endure during the season.

I'm not alluding to anything. I am just trying to visualize the whole situation. If Frazer wants to stand at that end of the rink, fine, but to stand down at that end of the rink, so close to the EP bench, and taunt them sounds classless to me. I would take offense to that, not to mention the players. Sounds like EP got throddled. There was no need for any yelled comments at that point of the game. By the way, blueblood, I thought you were a tonka guy. How do you know where Frazer stands at Chaska games. Blueblood, your not Frazer are you? If you guys want to watch good hockey with no post game activities, come over and watch the GREEN. The team who will surprise for the big prize!

It's true, my identity has been revealed, I admit I am from Tonka and no, I'm not Smokin' Joe Frazier, edinawhite08 or tonka05. Oops, that's for another post involving the kids from spudville. \:D/

FYI, I happen to know tomASS. Tonka and Chaska play in the same hockey district. Sometimes we may even live in the same community, shop at the same stores and go to church together. :o

Yes, Tonka people do talk to "the enemy" parents such as the good folks from Chaska now and then!

It was a very close game. Final score does not indicate how the game was played. Hockey is 3 periods long. I could go on and on. Bottom line is Green will show when it counts.

Edina dominated the whole game, it was in jefferson's zone for pretty much the entire game.

Thanks for the update on the games - your right - the Jefferson team I saw at the Midwest tournament didn't show up to play today. Edina skated circles around the defense - I showed up to see a real competitive game and left disappointed. This Jefferson team has really been a hard-working team this year; easily the most deserving when their game is on.

The 1st line offense of 8/13/18 is Smokin'.... From what I've seen they have earned most the goals for the Jaguars - easily a Bantam A calibur. Their line was caught a few times today not on their game, but number 8 has an incredible & fast/smooth stride, with wheels to the net to catch #13's incredible passes. They are fun to watch. Today's #13 blasted a hornet with what could be considered a 'barn burner' clean check and the zebra's called him for ruffing - just the kind of call that kills us old guys! That kid has hands and potential like no other on this team - clearly under-rated in this program from what I caught of the Bantam A game right after.

Most impressive was the goalie who took dozens of shots and kept the score from being more lop-sided for this team. He has great instincts and a quick glove. No doubt we'll see more of him too. I think they play Edina White next from what I heard in the stands. Should be a good game...if the boys show up to play!
