Re:Duluthhockeyfan
Duluthhockeyfan, you talk about other people and their supposed lack of respect and then you throw out the comment "cake Silver Region". Well it happen's that I coach a team that is vieing for a spot in the Silver Region and I have no grandeaur vision of that being anything different than ...

Re: Gildan
Gildan, all of Canada doesn't use FPP's. CAHA is made up of many smaller organization's similar to USA Hockey. You think in a PW regional game to go to state that a team with 1 CFB penalty and a tripping penalty as 2 kid's go for a puck should not go on even if they beat a team that has 6 roughing p...

Re: Buffalo dryland program
I want to pick their coach's brain on this one this weekend, ie: how often, what sort of exercises, who run's it, if they tie it in with the HS program, etc.. I would also like to see what they are doing offseason.

Re: Buffalo dryland program
What you are referring to is conversation's I had personally with 3 group's of Buffalo parent's in Willmar last year during the D4-D5 Regional tourney. Buffalo had just been beaten by Owatonna so there was a little bit of dissillusionment amongst the group. They didn't think their team played with m...

Re: District 4 Bantam A
The 4 team's that are going to region's are seeded in the same way the district regular season played out. All 4 team's are very equal and any team can win on any given night.#1 New Prague has some very strong defensemen. They come at you quick out of the zone and have some forward's that can score....

Re: Bantam A
AL win's 6-2, get's the 4 seed in regional's. Great weekend of hockey. NU goaltender was absolutely awesome this weekend. My biased prediction's were wrong. Here is my take on the 4 seed's.
#1 NP Best team
#2 Owatonna Best team with 9 skater's
#3 Kato Best team when they are on one of thei...

And what if the higher seeded team got the higher seed due to a bogus FPP game...............? 3 on 3 someone is going to score.

Re: If you have ideas (opinions)
Real nice SE MN district: start at Northfield, go East to Red Wing, South to Rochester, I-90 West to Albert Lea then back North on I-35 to Faribault. Don't let the Roch. people fool you, this would be very competitive.

Re: no A team but ranked as a B team
Funny you bring that up as it is a pet peeve of mine. NO they shouldn't. Dodge Co. B bantam's did that a couple of year's ago and look where it has gotten them in HS hockey.

Re: predictions
Owatonna is a tough team to predict. They seem to always come to the rink ready to play hard. You think you have the upper hand on them but the scoreboard disagree's. They were the only team to sweep AL in league play this year. Both games AL outshot them by pretty large margin's and seemed to domin...

Re: Lakeville So. PW
Every now and then you see some really stupid comment's on here. Lakeville So. PW program isn't a sound program? That would qualify as pretty stupid.

Re: Gaarder, Budish, Everson
I don't necessarily think it is an overstatement. Don't lose sight of how good MN hockey is in comparison to the rest of the US. Elite team's are put together all through the US that can't compete with some of MN's best. Shattuck is a great example. They are one of if not the best Tier 1 club's in t...

Re: ref's
We play a D4 schedule, tournament's in 3 other district's and other games elsewhere. I have found that the ref's do a pretty good job. Some better than other's but never that bad. After a game with 17 penalties called on us, I looked back and realized they did a good job, better than the coaches or ...

Re: Opinions...
I will add my .04. Squirts, pw's, bantam's are all different. 10 or 12 A player's at bantam's for 2 school's is really 5 or 6. I don't know if you can count on much success at the HS level. At the PW level, 5 or 6 A player's would turn into a big problem. Attrition will take it's toll. You could loo...

Re: Opinions...
End of the year tourney's can be very interesting. Hot goalies can be the biggest difference maker's. AL know's about coming through the loser's bracket to get to region's after running into a hot tender last year.....Bruggeman. He stopped 42 shot's and probably could have faced 60 and still had a g...

Re: Player's out
It is looking at this point like AL Bantam's will still be without fwd. Mitch Sorenson (appendix). Even if he get's cleared to play on Mon. it would be tough to get him ready. We miss his speed and intensity.

Re: Sat. Morning
Couldn't disagree more. Sitting in a car for any length of time and then trying to get ready for any highly athletic event in 1 hours time is tough. I have seen the negative effect's too many times to take chances at district time. I will say that playing the NU A bantam's is quite different then pl...

Re: Sat. Morning
Long drives before games can be absolute killer's, which is why the AL boy's will only have a 20 minute drive from Madelia Sat. morning and a curfew Fri. Night.
