Isn't that what GHS has been saying all along, a Tier I and Tier II idea? Those private teams would have their own state tourney that may likely be better than the MSHSL one I suppose... But, again, I don't support this - just something that I know people talk about and this was the way it was year...

i see that too, at 6 am my daughter is the only one on the ice, she has the rink to herself fo an hour before school and this is almost everyday, she loves it but i see it as a huge waste that more people don't take advadage of it exactly! I think we've also went from times when youth woudl talk ab...

Does anybody know this for sure? My understanding was that you only had to miss a half season of one (the first) sport you participated in.

"What non-public school people seem to want is to let their kids go anywhere they want," MSHSL executive director Dave Stead said. "What we're saying is, you play in the community in which you live. The purpose of any rule is to provide equitably for kids." Well, if this is the t...

Does anybody think CEC is better than BSM? Hard to make that argument at this juncture, since CEC lost to BSM 4-2. Coon Rapids, 1 big win over Blaine, Wayzata 1 big win over Roseville. Loser tonight out of top ten for good. I don't know about being out of the top ten for good, as it's still early, ...

Who is disappointing this year

So far I would have to say North St. Paul has taken the biggest fall from a year ago - I guess this shouldn't be totally unexpected given the graduation of two huge stars, including the Ms. Hockey winner, from last year's squad. But to go from one of state's top five teams to how they're playing so ...

SSM v EP SSM Prep vs. EP That would be interesting, especially since SSM Prep has beat the MN Thoroughbreds 6-2, 7-2 & 8-2. OK, then make it SSM Prep vs. University of Minnesota. About as relevent, as neither these teams (or the Thoroughbreds) are eligible for the high school state champ...

BSM 7, St. Louis Park 0 There was a major fight in the 3rd period, after one of BSM's premier players got crosschecked from behind. One player from each team was ejected, and they will have to sit out their next game. The refs did very little to stop it, and it went on longer with more punches throw...

I looked at Eden Prairie's schedule last night and overall it's not that difficult, but what came to mind immediately is that Roseville is the team that probably has the best shot of knocking them off, at least until the Kaposia tournament. They play each other on Dec. 21st.

Armstrong tied Edina 3-3 last night, so they remain undefeated and clearly deserve to be ranked. They have 4 outstanding seniors in Grossman, Calder, Berner and Fallen who do about 90% of their scoring, plus a good cast of younger players who hold their own when they're out there. The goaltending ha...

Are there any Trachsels, Hoenes, or Randolphs on the Duluth team? Funny, I played with those guys (many) years ago at Duluth Cathedral, way before it evolved into Duluth Marshall. Regarding this game tonight, without having seen GR, I would bet on Duluth based on what I saw in a scrimmage a couple ...

Cloquet is 1-1 Benilde-St. Margaret's 4 Cloquet 2 Cloquet 4 Stillwater 2 In the game against BSM Cloquet enjoyed a huge differential in penalties and power plays, and without them the score differential would probably have been greater. Re: Proctor-Hermantown-Marshall

Although it's 3 schools in a coop; this team is 100% homegrown. No transfers, no foreign exchange student....and they have a ton of depth. They will be a tough AA team this year in section 7AA in my opinion. I know this is my first post but...isn't Marshall a private school? They can't be "hom...
