Why TRF?
The World Juniors were up there last winter and the Russians stayed in TRF. I dont know if he came along to watch or what, or if he just heard of the town from people that came back to Russia after being there. Just a thought, could be a reason why hes going to TRF.

Re: legends
Once in a Pee Wee B tournament I got the puck in the corner and passed it out to our defensemen, he passed it to the other defenseman as I head for the front of the net. The defenseman took a wrist shot and I tipped it and it went through the goalies legs, cutting our opponents lead to 3-1 midway th...

Yep, when its in the state tournament that means both teams beat good teams to get there so it wouldnt be just the one game. Why isnt Moorhead #1 then? They just had one bad game against AHA.

If you are going by who "outplayed" who then Holy Angels is no way #1. They would proba...

East
Way to back up your team greyhound but you dont have to, the only numbers that matter is 3-2. East beat WBL in state, so they should be ranked higher, show me some real rankings in any sport that have anything different?

Congrats to him. You cant argue with the award, he brought Virginia to their first state tourney ever. Who were others getting consideration?? I would assume Vanelli from STA along with the coaches from Albert Lea and Little Falls got some consideration.

Add Jack Hillen to the list for CC players right out of HS. Also, Mark Stuart is a junior, which is what he would be had he stayed in HS and went straight to college, but he opted to play his jr and sr seasons in ann arbor, so I suppose thats kind of void.

He played 4 years for the U of M and didnt get any pro shots, simply because of how he played and that he was small.

Thanks Hockeyplaya, that Anoka team was one of the most fun HS teams to watch in the past 10 years, very similar to 2001 Elk River though, not producing any real big name D1 players.

Nick Ames is playing in the MNJHL, i'm not sure what team. I'm sure he will be a solid D3 player next year. He had good skills but avoided physical play a lot.

Well said packerboy. A lot of the catholic school kids come from top notch youth programs anyways, as well as (often times) wealthy communities/families. This is why I think it gets blown out of proportion sometimes, I think a lot of the families of kids at these schools have their minds made up on ...

Kodiak do you know if Kevin Krompitich (sp?), Connor Phippen, or Ben Luth are still playing hockey? They were good players at AHA, maybe not D1, but I figured they'd still be playing somewhere but havent heard where?
