Was Leddy at the Wild's Futures Camp? I didn't see or hear any coverage about him.

Now it looks like all four Classic Lake schools that are left will be going to the Lake, and Chaska and Chanhassen will be going to the Missota after this year. What will happen to the Bloomington schools? What about Holy Angels?

good pic...anything out of the top 5 i think is a crap shoot in this years draft Nice to see the public school kids in MN (Leddy and Budish) go ahead of the Shattuck kids etc. Nice statement of the quality of assoc and HS hockey in MN. I think it has more to do with talent, exposure and environment.

Re: Leddy?

Do you think Leddy was a good first round pick by the Wild? It was a surprisng pick. The way the NHL Draft is set up, it seems they are most all just prospects. There are more accomplished players out there, but may not have as much upside as Leddy, at least that's what the Wild must feel. Wish him...

I agree. I also thought St. Paul Johnson vs. Rochester John Marshall was kind of strange.
I thought it was more representative of Minnesota hockey, two evenly matched average teams.

Typical, way to turn a decent post into the inevitable. Fact is if Breck wants to play AA schools, get the school to step up a class. That is how AHA, CDH, BSM and HM have done it..... Of course they wouldn't do that, because they would get pummeled in all the sports they don't concentrate having A...

No question Rehkamp will be greatly missed as will Herd (who is in no way overrated Papa) But of the teams listed, NOBODY losses less talent than the Mustangs. When you have 5 of 6 blue liners and 11 of 12 forwards plus one of the best goalies in the state returning from a State Championship team, ...

Who cares? Have you seen an NHL roster? Don't think they dont add inches and pounds to their name. Big deal if a handful of high school kids spotted themselves 5-10 lbs and one inch. Are they less of hockey players now? Obviously the liars who lied cared! Kids who think they have a better chance be...

Why is Mario Lucia on a team? Uh....He's a sophomore, he's pretty darn good and it's his Dad's camp seem to be three pretty good reasons! Looking at the list is a good indication of not only where the talent is, but what schools (student/athletes and coaches) take hockey seriously, and those that don't. Or, we know where the money is. Not every parent can afford every dog and pony show! You are right of course, as noticed are so many...

[quote="karl(east)"]Don't forget the little clause about "without MSHSL approval" on the 600-mile rule. My guess is that AHA will still be able to get their games against Mt. St. Charles approved; they're a private school who can foot the bill. Things like the baseball spring tra...

Yes, the comment by the kids dad was a little off color and unnecessary. However, I'm not sure "appaling" should describe the emotions you get from one comment. I'm sure of the hundreds of programs in MN, a fair amount of backup goalies dad's say things worse than what this guy said. He j...

The more you play the better you get? Wrong, wrong and wrong. Overwhelming evidence shows this is bunk. The more games vs. practice, the LESS kids develop. As some may have heard, Bill Simon of Lakeville South had verbally committed to Providence. He has now signed his letter of intent and is on his way this summer.
