Figured he'd be hanging up the skates one of these years. Been a great coach and leader for a lot of HM kids throughout the years. He isn't flashy, but his teams often got the job done. Let's see if he can make one more run at state. Can't imagine Giles is far behind. https://x.com/LetsPlay_Hockey/s...

Glad to see they did it again this year. Was a fun couple games, last year, to watch as an HM fan.

I renewed mine two weeks ago. Basically you need to go to the Wild site and combine your wild account (which is just an email) to a new SeatGeek account you create, then you'll see the bill in your payments section.

I'm still lurking too, but not much discussion going on. Looking forward to the season, although we have the whole fall season to get through first. Sorry to hear he has passed. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

What if we limited the voting to folks who attended everyone of the games. Or we could just ask Elliot straight up...

We're any of the choices Class A? There haven been some good Class A finals...

SOME WERE THERE. Statistically, it is likely that no one at that game is still alive. The factors at play are that total tournament attendance was not even 9K, so maybe 2K for the final. Most attendees in 1945 would have been male, and men have shorter life expectancy. Few MN males survive to age 9...

What a comeback for the Spuds. In my long high school memory, this is the biggest comeback in championship history. Before it was HM beating DE in 1991 twice having a two goal deficit. Spuds... Love it!

I gave up at 4-1 and turned it off. Back now. Thanks to my son who texted and said turn it on!

To be fair, I'd be fine if Moorhead put Tonka on running time. But that's just me.

A great game. I was pulling for the other squad, but it didn't happen. Congrats to both teams.

What a game. Both teams playing their hearts out. When does Warroad get too tired as Hibbing is deeper?

I keep watching Hibbing dominate and Warroad score. So crazy.

They do. They sell it through NSPN.tv

Just check this link in a few weeks. They sell you a digital copy.

That said, we can still all be happy with HD tv which was made for hockey. Going back and watching video from the 80's is awful...

As a Greenway grad, it was fun to watch the references and screenshot of the bracket to the 1992 tournament. At that time, I happened to be living in an area called Valley Park, which is a sort of subdivision of Rosemount and went to the championship game at Target Center. Rosemount got hot at just...

Had only the board called out Edina's cheap play halfway through the season. Oh wait, you did!

Total lack of class. I get the frustration of losing, but that's really not good to see.

Nostalgic Nerd wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:18 pm Hanging on fear dear life Rosemount. . Wonderful redirect by Tonka.

To be honest, Edina is really looking forward to playing Tonka in the 3rd place game. Must see tv!

Curious: How many Tonka players did NOT play youth hockey for Tonka? Same question for Rosemount, to be fair. Since they said during the broadcast the Rosemount theme was something like "Home Grown", I imagine most of them were local. Its a Lake Conference tradition to look across the cou...

Not a good goal to give up there. Backhand from the bottom of the circle. Wow.

High score is good for Tonka, not Rosemount. Need to hunker down and play defensively.

I posted a preview of the state tourney talking about how I expected Rosemount to put Tonka on running time, but that post got a weird db error and never got saved.

3-1. Crazy. Good for those kids.

And btw, thank you for your team beating Gentry today. I was sorry to see the hockey factory go 0-2 but it happens.

Great start for Rosemount. I thought there was a possible hand pass at the net on that goal. Probably not, it wasn’t mentioned. Anyone else notice that? It didn't matter, because the Tonka goalie touched the puck. That was my recollection. Tonka touches, it goes back to the crease and then kid from...
