I wish #4 was points differential. Meaning fewer points allowed in the standings, winning more in regulation. They could make goal differential #5.

If 45 did do that, that would be just fine with me. I'm sure most of Minnesota probably feels the same way, I just wonder about the reality of that happening.

If the Wild make the 2nd round, this should not be an issue. Versus has exclusive rights to 2 games of every 2nd round series & 45 won't have any Wolves games to deal with. I expect FSN North to air any game that does not have a Twins conflict though.

Twins & Wolves TV Schedule could be 1st Round problem.

With the Twins season getting underway & the Timberwolves still playing in the regular season, it could affect the Wild TV Schedule for the first round. FSN North has a lot of Twins commitments & 45 still has 3 Wolves games to air. The only first round games FSN North could air are games tha...

What I think should be done is keep the 2 points for a win but 1 point only for a shootout loss. No points for an OT loss, just like regulation and go back to 5-on-5 for the 5:00 OT.

Kangas comes from an athletic family. His brother Jordan is a good baseball player and his father coaches @ Century & the Rochester A's. I met them at a baseball tournament last summer in North St. Paul and they were very friendly. Is his brother a junior there this year? I am pretty sure i saw...

Should 1st round seeding change?

With the playoffs coming I thought I would ask the question about the current seeding process. Should it stay Division winners 1-3 or should it change? I feel division champions should be seeded in the top 4 instead of 1-3, this way they still get home-ice in 1st round but would give the non-divisio...

Get rid of McKinnie. Overrated and doesn't know how to behave off field. It shouldn't be as difficult to replace him as some may think. Any truth to the rumor that the Vikes may trade for Julius Peppers?

Any chance the fields will be ready by Thursday 4/3? That's the Polars first game scheduled but the weather has been so cold and the snow probably has not melted yet.

I think ESPNU is getting greedy with the exclusive rights. I think it's great that they televise these games so fans all over the country can watch but fans in the local markets deserve to watch on local networks. At least the Gophers/BC game is tape-delayed so FSN North can pick it up. I'd like to ...

I would have to think FSN North will carry the game in Minnesota. That's what they did last season. It would be the ESPN syndication feed so it wouldn't be Frank Mazacco & Doug Woog. I think Gary Thorne & Barry Melrose might be calling that regional because it is the closest to the ESPN stud...

AHA Stars for legion are in a district with 34 teams so the top 3 make State. North St. Paul, the team I follow is in a district with only 7 teams. How do they determine the districts and how many teams are in it?

I think a few teams may have moved down from AAA to AA. Looking at the sections there are only 12 teams now in each AAA section. I think some may have had 16. Yep - it goes beyond baseball too. With the exception of hockey, I think Johnson (and actually most of the St. Paul City schools - and a few...
