#1 seed Northfield Raiders (21-4-2)
Northfield enters the 1A Final looking to repeat as champion for the first time in program history. The Raiders have been the dominant team down south all year as they won the Big 9 Conference and they are currently (7-0-0) vs 1A teams and they have outscored them 57-8 in those games making them a very tough team for section competitors to match up with. However, they did not play Dodge County during the regular season and this should be a good game.

Raiders Leaders- Seniors #11 Jake Geiger (26-38-64 pts), #20 Cayden Monson (20-35-55 pts) & #12 Kam Kaiser (36-19-35 pts) give Northfield a big offensive trio as they have accounted for nearly 60% of the team’s goals this year. The Raiders also have a good blueline led by Senior #7 Ty Frank (0-18-18 pts) who missed half the year due to injury and in his absence youngsters Freshman #2 Ben Geiger (2-21-23 pts) & Sophomore #4 Bridger Riley (1-18-19 pts) grew up fast.

Raiders Goalie-Junior #1 Max Frank (13-3-1) 1.61 GAA .921 SV% split the net most of the season but down the stretch he has been their main guy in net and he has played very well this season and earned the starting role for the playoffs.

Raiders High Scoring Offense- The Raiders have put up some impressive goal scoring numbers down south this year. However, one thing to note is that they have only been held below four goals in a game five times and they are (0-4-1) in those five games. If they are unable to get to 4 goals in this game it could be a bad omen for this team or a big opportunity to show they can win a tight game when the offense is held down as they will need to do that should they get to State.

Raiders Special Teams- The Power Play is at 41% and Penalty Kill is at 87%

#2 seed Dodge County Wildcats (19-7-1)
Dodge County enters the 1A Section Final for the first time since 2021 when they went all the way to the State Title game. The Wildcats have had a very good year as they won 19 games and were able to defeat the Lancers in an excellent 1A Semifinal game. Now they will be tasked with their toughest assignment of the year as they take on the mighty and powerful defending 1A champion Raiders. They won't be scared and will be looking to pull the upset.

Wildcat Leaders- Senior #13 Gryffon Funke (44-29-73 pts) and Juniors #17 Brett Ludvigsen (29-47-76 pts) & #10 Dylan Klomps (14-11-25 pts) give Dodge County an impressive trio of their own and they have accounted for over 70% of the team's goals this year. Senior #18 Caeden Smith (4-8-12 pts) and Sophomore #4 Jeremiah Peterson-Gordon (1-21-22 pts) led the blueline and both have had really good years from the backend.

Wildcat Goalie- Senior #30 Jackson Roethler (17-7-1) 3.05 GAA .890 SV% has had a good senior year in net and he has come up big in the biggest games and been able to come up with key saves when the defense breaks down.

Wildcats Dynamic Duo- The Wildcats have one of the best duos you will see in Funk & Ludvigsen as both are dynamic playmakers and have been snipers all year. They truly are the key to Dodge County’s success as the team is (1-5-0) in the 6 games where they were both held to 2 points or less. Shutting them down will be key for the Raiders and getting them going will be big for the Wildcats and will determine their success most likely in this one.

Wildcat Special Teams- The Power Play is at 27.7% and Penalty Kill is at 88 %

BHS Section 1A Championship Final
#1 NFLD 4
#2 Dodge County 1
Final
Northfield throw the kitchen sink at Dodge County Goalie Roethler who was outstanding all game. The Raiders though proved to be too much in the end and they head back to STATE for the 2nd straight year!
