Day 1 Class A

Any thoughts on the first round of games? Not a lot of excitement in the first 2 games. Very weird chain of events on Warroad’s second “goal”. Replay saved them from a momentum change. The last game was closer but I think it proved that River Lakes should have got the 5th seed.

As usual a fairly boring, lopsided day 1. The top 3 are clearly better than the rest of the field. Orono/PH should be a good game tomorrow.

I felt bad for the Luverne goalie giving up that icing goal, glad it wasn't a one goal game.

Will see if you right Luverene and River lakes drop the puck at 12:30 today.

Albert Lea will be heading home after there 10am game. Dodge county will be in their section next year MSHSL is slllowing them to move down after dropping coops.

I was concerned for you after "your" Fire lost last week. Was it a good game?

It was a very good game could have gone either way.

Very sad as this was my daughters last game.

Good luck to everyone else left on playoffs.

Proctor/Hermantown 3 Orono 1
PH comes back after being down 1-0 heading into the third. Fun game to watch. Congrats to the Mirage and good luck to them as they look to defend their Class A title tomorrow.

Agreed, this was a very entertaining game. Based on Orono's play yesterday I picked them to win, but the Mirage was the better team in this one.

The officiating for the class A semi's today has been subpar at best, wow.

After netting one in the 1st Warroad scores four more in the 2nd to shut out the Packers 5-0. Four of those goals came from Lila Lanctot in an unbelievable 98 seconds, which I believe they said tied a State Tournament record.

The Warriors move on to face the Proctor/Hermantown Mirage at 4:00pm tomorrow afternoon.
