The game vs TRF is on the schedule but,from da Spuds perspective, that is about all there is to it. Just another whistle stop for The Train to make. I will never listen to that "Shout" song in the same way again. Ive been trying to sing it to myself in the car but cant quite get those Anglitch lyrics down. Ill need to get with Below 0 and sharpen my skills. I am sure it wont be long until all of our favorites are trasnslated into Anglitch and digitally remastered. Say, what the heck is a cowplow anyway?

In the early days of rail transportation cow catchers would blast anything unfortunate enough to be in its' way, much like the train that the Moorhead Spuds have employed in its' vast arsenal of weapons. The particular model seen above was used when the Spuds beat Elk River in the Section 8AA championship back in 1994, in four overtimes. Thus, explaining the name Rogers spray-painted on the side. Folklore lends an ear to the fact that that particular Elk River game caused mechanical problems to the engine that year, and that explains why the Spuds quest for a State Title fell short at the hands of Bloomington Jefferson. Are you asking me to write the songs that make the young girls cry? Well ... if you knew me personally ... you'd be surprised on how accurate that statement really is, right Below 0 Zero? So here I am, preparing for tonights game (Brainerd vs. St. Cloud Tech) and I get a phone call from Slappy asking me why I haven't been on the site lately. I tell him I've been extremely busy, but I'd check it out sometime today. Boy, when Slappy said there was a lot of bull$hi# being tossed around these parts, he wasn't kidding. All this talk about 'cows, bulls and other bovines' has been taken to a new level .... literally. The 'cow plow' is a new twist to the continuing saga of the 'bullit train' from last season. Must be a sign that I'm going to have to start weighing in and giving my take on Section 8AA, Section 7AA and Section 8A {my areas of dominate influence} <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> It seems that there are two locomotives on a collision course that will come to a head this Saturday. One Engine has a 'cow plow' and the other {Warroad's} has a 'pow wow'. All that I know is that there are thousands of fans across the great northwest that are eager to board both trains as they head towards the Moorhead Sports Center for Saturdays key match-up. Thanks, Below 0. I assume the cowplow was added this season as an extra precaution to clear the tracks of, among other things, Cougars, Jaguars and Bears (da white ones) attempting to block the progress of the train. It is pure genous for SS to come up with the idea of adding the cowplow as extra insurance. No question but that it symoblizes the additional strength added to these teams this year. And the rythym of the rails is all they feel. VS, I cant make it. It sure would be fun though.Should be a classic. Just like the old days. Fortunately, it will be nice and warm..... Real Below 0 weather. Wait a minute, I hope slappy's pipes dont freeze again. Say, why dont they play this game at the Xcel? Everybody else needs too.

Well it's just like i said! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> MHD 7 TRF 4 Moorhead was crawlin' all over the Prowlers but the Prowlers played 'em tough! Kinda reminded me of being at a funeral though as far as TRF's fans were concerned. There were plenty of folks at the game but that place (the Little Ralph) sure looks empty to me.! Ammerman and Becker looked good and Cory Johnson was fun to watch and very effective as usual. Mayhem in motion causing Havoc with every burst of speed! Love that guy! If it weren't for TRF's Goalie it might've been eleven! Not exactly SS. The rumble on Sat night is not for the section 8 crown......it s for the Unifiction Title for the State Championship. As has been previuosly stated, The train will have the section 8 champs aboard in March goin back home with the titles. This game will be between the 2 champs and the winner can claim all the marbles. By the way, ah...has the cowplow been tested to work against Cougars? How about Bears?

Well, what in the heck are you doin awake at this time of the day? You must be so pumped for the Dread in Moorehead you cant sleep. Understandable. Buy a round after the game for VS, Bluesbuddy hizself, and yourself and Ill buy the first one at Tom Reids in March. But anyway, There once was a boy named slappy Who when section 8 teams lost was unhappy Why his teams lost, he didnt know how So he went out ....and bought a cowplow Now section 8 is doin ok A championship they will win one day But Saturday night will be a big test To see who up in Northwest is really the best Have fun on Saturday night. Sorry boys but I didnt read your post until Sunday AM. Well , well, well. The beat goes on, doesnt it? A 1-1 tie. Godzilla or King Kong? Ginger or Maryann? Nothing got settled, especially the stomachs of the supremists who must need a lot Pepto Bismal this morning. Now, if the cowplow slams into St Paul and blasts away everyone for the titles, we will have co state champs and they will both be from that crazy section 8. From all accounts, it was a game that lived up to its billing and then some. But why should anyone be surprised. Two great teams with plenty of tradition and talent get together in a great hockey town, with so many distinguished posters in attendence, you get some sparks goin on. Say, did they introduce special guests like slappy, VS and Bluesuddy before the game at "rinkside" like they do at a prize fight? Well, I am sure they will at the State Tournamnet. In fact , I have heard about plans to add a cowplow to the Zamboni at the Xcel. Stay tuned.

Frank was there, Warroads Football Coach was there, folks were gettin' Jason Blake and Blues <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin"> Buddy mixed up a lot what with Blakes new hair doo and all! Henry Boucha was there. Robbie Gramer ( famed defenseman from Moorheads '92, '93 '94 team with his future all-star son in tow ( Lucas Maximus ) was there. Blues <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... smokin.gif ALT=":smokin"> Buddy was there. A guy that looked like Tom Cruise was there that most had mistaken for Joe Lulic. Minnhock posters where in attendance throughout the venue. Too many to list. Hardwicks Dad was there, Brian Lee's Mom was there. Tim Oshie was standin' right next to me but he moved before I could pick his pocket! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> I did receive the info he left for me however! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> Morinville was there! Kyle Krahn was there. (That kid gets the job done even without a stick! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> ) Albert Harsbargen and Dennis Fermoyle were there. Guys from DL, East Grand, Fargo North and South were there. Josh Arnold was too! Bob Gramer was there. But most importantly Mark Thiele and Spencer Deutz were definately there! Gary Pawlic was even there. Sounds like they needed a red carpet out front. In tune with the final score , I was tied up all weekend with a Bantam tournament in a river town where a certain all time leading scorer and his brothers used to roam.Remember him? They said he wasnt that good because he played in Class A. Right. Keep that drink out of the sink and on the rocks and send it down on the train to Tom Reids in March. You can fasten it to the cowplow to keep it cold. So, right now,as of Sat night, who do you think is the better team?

Thats great. Say, I wonder how they'd do against Mooreroad. Do they play each other this year? Well, we can just leave that issue open. The last time Warhead met the DuHibuet team time was NOT on their side. That was back a month or two in the Elite League National Tournament and Shea, Robbie W, and Mitch gave the Warroad/Moorhead boys a lesson. And it may happen again in March. Long live Section 7!
