PC vs. Cambridge

Pine City came back from a 3-1 deficit in the third period to beat Cambridge 5-4 on a goal from Corey Brant with 17 seconds remaining in the game. Real fun game , back and forth the whole time. Hopefully this can get the Dragons back on track for the playoffs. I'll take credit on the 400th.

What are your sources on that. How could we not get 1, we went undeafeted in the conference, Playing everyone but sauk because they refused to play us. They have lost like 4 in a row, and are injured. It just doesnt seem right to me.
Good Teams Would be Nothin without Good Water.....

Ptown, Sauk didn't refuse to play you. They had 15 conference games compared to 10 or 11 in the Rum River and they didn't want to drop any of their non conference games or the christmas tourney.

Don't know. Can only speculate. It's seems tough to be the defending section champion and undefeated this year in the section and get #2. Only thing I can imagine would be the schedule that Sauk plays is a little tougher. It's a shame Princeton doesn't play Sauk.

what does it say about the sauk coach that he refuses to play princeton on the basis that he wants to play tougher competition. i think he'll be watching the state show from the cheapseats. just my opionion though, sure hope i don't get attacked like last time.

look for sauk rapids to be knocked off. they are treading on very thin ice right now and someone else will represent 2A.

I sporadically grace this thread, much like every other thread, with the intention of reading the latest on section 2A and get caught up on Central Minnesota hockey. I enjoy the longevity of the original post and the viewpoints of the many onlookers that seem to have witnessed nearly all the teams in the section play; ie, “The Hockeywriter”, “2ahockeydude”, and of course “Ptown.” Despite not seeing a game from this section, I feel like I will actually know something about whatever team rolls out of this section and heads to St. Paul in March due to the thoroughness of everyone’s opinions. Being the true High School hockey fan that I am, I also visit the geocities website detailing all the teams players and schedules and have happened across several of the 2A section teams just to follow up. That being said, and not knowing where everyone is from, Boardsfan’s previous post makes absolutely no sense whatsoever! The site I see, correct me if I’m wrong, has Sauk Rapids playing; Lourdes, Breck, Owatonna, Hermantown, Proctor, and Hutchinson, as their none conference games. Boardsfan wrote, “refuses to play Princeton on the basis that he wants to play tougher competition”, he then goes on to say that this will eventually cost them a trip to the state. I will give voluminous, no, numerous, no, legions of substantial evidence that playing stronger competition creates a better team. If I were Princeton, I would be happy that I merely have to play Sartell to advance to the finals and stop worrying about a game that wasn’t played in the first place. Take it for what you will.... I merely an outsider looking in. Good luck to all. I’ll be following.

9-1 Princeton wins. Not much of a game. Moose started their second string goalie, SHE let in 5 goals, then they put their starter in and he let in 4. Lots of penalties. at one point we had our entire first line in the box, and 1/2 of our first D. Moose was cheap, we took quite a few retalitation penalties.
Good Teams Would be Nothin without Good Water.....
