MLB Playoffs

Good idea for a thread boblee.
Sorry I havent been able to contribute but I havent been able to see very much of the playoffs so far.
I watched the NL wild card tiebreaker and that guy stll hasnt touched home plate.
I saw a little of Beckett's performance the other night and he was very good. If he can pitch like that , the Bosox are in good shape.
Yankees? You just cant win in the postseason without pitching. I dont know if they have enough to beat CLE. The pressure is on Pettite big time in game 2.
Id like to see our Central Division rivals win. I love watching that team hit. Travis Hafner is worth the ticket price. He is like that guy in the movie Major League that Charlie Sheen finally strikes out.

The Cubs at least got some hits, the Phillies couldn't buy a hit tonight.
I love TBS' coverage, much better than the sickening love ESPN shows for the Yankees, Cubs, and Red Sox.
ARod 0-6 this post season, lifetime post season he's 0 for his last 27 on the road. The Yankees lose tomorrow and ARod continues to make Nick Punto look like Ted Williams and the New York media will have a field day with his ineptness.
The best argument for no playoffs in College football happend today in USC/Stanford and LSU/Florida. With a playoff LSU doesn't play for the win and doesn't go for it 4 times on 4th down in the last 5 minutes of their game. With a playoff USC/Stanford meant nothing - same with Wisconsin, Michigan and a bunch of other teams that didn't show up for a game so far this year.

I kind of agree - particularly Tony Gwynn. His voice always bugs me a little bit, but he's very articulate and is clearly one of the most knowledgeable baseball guys around. If Bob Brenly would shut his trap so Tony could get fill us in a little bit more, I'd like the broadcasts even better.goldy313 wrote: I love TBS' coverage, much better than the sickening love ESPN shows for the Yankees, Cubs, and Red Sox.
