Well, Imagine veery's surprise to find that you post on here.......8 days a week. But got a good reason for takin the easy way out and just pointing to the ratings. But no, they believe....in yesterday. I know how Geoge felt. April 15 will come but not until after March when there will be as much controversy as to who the real champion is as there was in the NCAA football deal. But what does any one want to do about it. ..and I do appreciate veery bein 'round..... NOT

Well scheids, Joe's movie idea can be found in the Section 8 Dominates A and AA thread and with your consent you may be elevated to Hockey Movie Stardome when it comes out even though your 'otters' may not. They are running out of time this year but hey, you never know right? Maybe you could play the part of one of the otters when they played 'spoiler' to the 'Spuds' back in '99 just before the 'Spuds' prophesied their current destiny. What about it Joe? Well Slappy, you got most of it right. I would be more than happy to partake in this movie, but I'll stick to my former role as everyone's favorite (Except maybe ptown) Waterboy. I could maybe play the goalie, as I've been known to be rock solid between the pipes of a boot hockey game, but that's about it. You want that 5-gallon Powerade jug filled and mixed to the perfect flavor though, and I'm your man. Who wouldn't jump at the chance to see bluesbuddy out during the period break, doing the splits and jumping around in a cheerleader outfit? I'm sure his first request would to be at the bottom of the pyramid. Actually, that year, our cheerleaders were pretty cool, and a few cute ones too. Seems to be a rarity around these parts these days. Since we're in a slow hockey week, maybe we could start a thread on which school has the cutest cheerleaders. Photos would be a plus, but you know one of the beloved teenagers on here would post something about how much he'd like to (insert random innuendo here) and the Powers That Be would remove the thread.

Well, creatively, I dont see a problem with it. It may end up on the cuttting room floor but I suppose some historical background of the current domination is in order. I mean, "Miracle" took us back to Watergate as background. Yah, we could mount a camera on a vehicle and drive in to Fergie gradually zooming in on the big otter. Or maybe a helicopter shot, Id have to check with Videoscout. We would then cut to the last seconds of the '99 game as the horn goes and the Spuds are defeated and then build it up from there. I like it, I like it a lot.

I still don't see where I was mentioned in this movie idea. I looked through the section 8 thread, and saw a few posts on the idea, but didn't see any about the characters. I think that would make a great opening scene, Joe. You could add some serious dramatic effect if you did a drive by of the old State Hospital (Regional Treatment Center) in Fergus. To outsiders, its quite a scary looking place. Looks just a bit too much like the Ski Resort in "The Shining." I work by there, part time, and when my girlfriend saw it, she requested that she not ever have to go anywhere near there again. Think about it... The powers of the deceased mentally insane, combined with the sheer will of the Otters, and the mighty Spuds are defeated. Vowing never to let this happen again, the Spuds unite and become a force to be reckoned with, a mere 5 years later, en route to their first...I'm not gonna jinx it. Scheids (A legend in his girlfriend's mind.)

Id have to think about working in the insane angle. I suppose we could pan in on the St Cloud Reformatory on the way up just to cheer up the audience. Maybe it would be appropriate backdrop for a lot of the characters. Well, if the weather holds up , I should be able to watch my oldests high school game and catch most ,if not all, of my youngests peewee game right after. I will make every effort. Because in the end the love you take is equal to the love....you make. There aint nothin anybody can do about that. Seeyah

Hold everything! Didn't the ' Spuds' annihilate the 'Otters' not too long ago 13 to 1? Maybe a half second edit in the movie but you would be 'insane' to give the 'Otters' any more play than that! Slappy, you're missing the point, but we're all used to that by now. What is more dramatic, using a tough loss to a team you hadn't lost to in 10 years as a springboard toward building a state championship team? Or showing a blurb of them whooping up on Fergus and their backup goaltender. I found my honorable mention in the other thread, and I just have one question. Why would I be crying if Warroad and Moorhead won it all this year? I've said numerous times that I hope Moorhead does win it, I pull for them every year they make it there. I'm not a big Warroad fan, but I'd rather see them win it than a city private school. But I suppose if Warroad did win it all, that would prove that the Superior Catholic School hockey player is only good enough for second best, which I KNOW goes against the grain of a certain someone on this board! Hold on there scheids. SS advises that crazy section 8 is just crawlin with Catholics. I inquired on this most important point very early on. There is no way that someone as devote as slappy would back some kind of Protestant uprising. Lee has tried to influence the posters toward his admitted protestant slant for quite some time. It simply hasnt worked. No, there is no inconsistency here. Crazy Catholics in section 8 appear to be superior and dominate. A fact which has a tendency to go against the grain of the non believers.

The mighty Greyhounds realize that the result of that early tune up was nothing short of a......yup, miracle. It would take another one come March. Even the fact that the inevitable crusade will take place in the Saintly City will not be enough to manufacture another miracle for the always classy Greyhounds. I like the idea of calling it a film. It is more fitting to such an artistic endeavor. Say, whats the weather like in Cannes this time of year. Hopefully, the Festival will not conflict with the State Tournament or something else important like the NFL draft on ESPN. We should start shopping for one of those little berets now. Going against the grain is what has done it for many a production. Take Woody Allen and his lovely family for example. Before we head for the south of France, how about a title?

I stand corrected on the issue of my fellow Catholics. I was under the understanding that one had to join a private school in order for his Catholicism to acheice full potential. If Moorhead is indeed crawling with Catholics, then more power to them. Should only help them defeat the infidels of metropolis. Have we had any predictions from the Almighty Shooter on Moorhead's tough road trip this weekend? If so, I missed them, and I'd like to hear them. Myself, being uninformed and just guessing, would say they will beat WBL by 2 goals, one empty netter. My gut feeling is the game vs. Centennial will be much tougher, if only for a fact that they have a game the night before against a worthy opponent. I hate to say it but my prediction is a Cat victory by 3. This movie is turning out to be quite a blockbuster. We have religion, hockey, drama, comedy (Just look at who's involved, that's comedy right there), suspense, and mystery. All we need now is Tiger Wood's girlfriend to play Moorhead's personal trainer, and we fulfill the obligatory sex angle. Maybe Michael Moore could come and point out that although the Republican majority tried to hold the Spuds down, they overcame the GOP devils, and achieved victory.

Au Contreir, Angus. This weekend will be a test for the Spuds, but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it. We all know there are 2 seasons in hockey, and we all know which one matters. As for the sexy movie chick, I'd sure like to know who she is. If she dated a Fergus SM during the State era, it was either me or my successor, my brother. Not even sure if you're being serious or not, but if you are, give me a clue as to who you're talking about. In the spirit of the Gopher games this weekend, I have a joke for all the Bulldog faithful, including Lee (I'm assuming he's a fan, being from there and all): This UMD fan walks into a bar carrying a goose under his arm. The bartender says, "Oh come on, why did you have to bring the pig in with you?" The UMD fan says, "Excuse me, I believe this is a goose." The bartender says, "Excuse me, I was talking to the goose." They are movin' up the charts fast, up to #2 at the front of this forum even though they are still #1 on Lee's pagestat2 rankings and within' hours their mettle will be tested again. Today we clarify which side of the fence Joe falls off on even though we've seen his leanings before.
