KCC has less kids than WDC and is skating with only 11 skaters and 3 goalies this year but making it work.

Ely and Moose Lake have have 10-12 skater rosters in recent years and making work.

Hope these small town's can keep programs alive like WDC is this year.

Class A was made for these kind of programs and admire those out there who year after year make it work with low numbers to give kids a chance to play for their hometown team.

Every time I see a story like this, it's a sobering reminder of the fact that my Greenway program was almost dead in the water less than 15 years ago and if it wasn't for the diligence, persistence, hard work & donations in the way of equipment, & other things, Greenway may have never enjoyed the success they had for several years. For the record, WDC beat Moose Lake 7-5. Good luck to the program & others like this.
