Bemidji at 6 ahead of Sartell is a bit of surprise.
But Bemidji did beat them in a close game so...

I think they each had 3 section wins, so head to head must have been the decider.

It's really hard for me to see any significant difference between the 6 and 7 seeds in any section. It's like asking how many angles can dance on the head of a pin.

Similarly, there is little difference between being 1 and 2, in this section this year. The drop off to the 3 and 4 seeds is too big to make a difference. Last line change is not often the difference in a game. If it is, maybe just hustle a little more.

I think there's a difference between being the #1 and the #2 in this section this year.

If the Elks have a bad loss on the year it's 1 goal to CP. Without any big upsets, they've shown they can put up a game against anyone all year. They also beat Buffalo 7-3 (very early in the year), and beat STMA 6-0.

Buffalo has the big win over Moorhead (in Buffalo), but they've also lost to Holy Angels, St. C, and Delano (8-1), and taken a couple of blowouts in the Lake. Both their wins over STMA were 1-goal games.

If I'm the Spuds, I'm happy to avoid the Elks in the semis.

Buffalo and/or STMA is no slouch but much nicer avoiding the Elks as they have put together a decent year. They could end up blind siding everyone. There are upsets every year in sections but I think it’s setting up to be quite an interesting post season this year.

Elk River has pieced together a nice 17 win season, good first line and capable athletic Sophomore goalie. In reality I would think they have a chance to beat Roseau, a chance. The chance would obviously lessen with the Spuds. With that being said they only beat Bemidji by one in a afternoon tilt in the regular season in which they outshot Bemidji by a wide margin.

Well the benefit of that is there would be one less 218 team, and I don't mind that.

Will be in the next game. Moorhead is no joke. I'm still picking them to win it all. And then we can all be happy.

Spuds are a tad overdue for a title.

Why at the MAC and not the Herb? That's where the history is at.

St Johns has a playoff game at the Herb on Wednesday.
Pretty sure the section had 3 potential sites at the ready, they are making 2,000 tickets available.
It’s not Amsoil at least.
