I was at both Greenway games this past week-end. While the dark results (at least to me) are known, what many people don't know is the ugly incident that happened during the j v game when one of the Greenway guys was slammed into the boards in front of both benches drawing a major on the GR guy. The player laid motionless for almost 25 minutes finally moving his arms a bit & was then carted out on a stretcher. Last I knew he was in the hospital. Prayers are with this young man.
They cancelled the rest of the second period & running time for the third in order to start the A game on time. I didn't see this happen as I was in the lobby but found out from my wife & others.
Reminds me of the young man who played football for Cloquet & passed away this past fall.

On the brighter side, the GR game was sure a spirited affair. Has a pre-sale 7 hrs. before the game & when I got there 1/2 hr. before the time, the line was already 25' long inside Hodgins-Berado. Good to see a near sell-out at the snakepit.

Glad to see the forum is back up & running. I tried to get on several times when I was up for the games & was also glad to see it wasn't on my end.

Just found out on Greenway's facebook page the injured player is fine!

I stand corrected. I didn't know the Esko & Cloquet football teams were separate unlike the hockey.
