Andover up 3-2 after 1 on Rosemount. Very entertaining game today.

Andover looks really good. Rosemount having a hard time getting out of their end. Wolfe and Kaiser get about 80% of the ice time on D. Rosemount scoring chances come when 4 and 5 are on the bench.

Well that was entertaining. Rosemount took the lead 4-3 with about 5 minutes left. Andover goes on to score two goals in the last 5 minutes and pull it out 5-4.

Andover looked a little more polished to me, but Rosemount held up really well. The Andover goalie looked like the chink in their armor (although I've watched him once).

3rd period was as good as it gets . Maybe even better than the WBL HM finish last week . Could have gone either way. In the end though , I think the better team won today .

Nice turnout by both communities

These are both top 5 teams for sure . And probably half of the top 10 D in the state were on display in this one

Looked like Andover skated 5 D with 4 and 5 out every other shift and power play and rotated the other 3. Tandem of Wolfe and Kaiser has to be the best in state.

I was at the game. Fitting ending. Great individual effort by Hallum to tie it. Overall a good game, but lacked the intensity & emotion of Andover vs Rosemount today It definitely had the feel of a Holiday tourney neutral site game. I’ll reserve judgement until I see them play more (1st time watching EP today) but my initial impression is they’re not on par with Tonka, Duluth East or Edina (from 2018) so labeling EP some kind of “super team” (despite some clear recruiting) is way premature at this time. Love the arena at the Casino rink (from a spectator point of view) but I’m told the ice is a bit soft (and slow). First time seeing Ben Steeves and I like him, his style & skill set are in the mold of a tUMD recruit.

EP seems to have the most skilled team, but a strong defensive team that can also get a goal or two can beat them. STA had a great chance to win it all with 2 power plays in OT. I think the Andover team I saw today can play with them just fine. Otherwise you're going to need a hot goalie to beat them.

I’m very proud of my CEC hockey pucksters for their game vs. Blaine. They hung in there and almost pulled off the huge upset .

Definitely a great showing for them. Tough draw this weekend in Plymouth. Great competition, though. The kids will be ready for anything they face down the stretch.

First time seeing 9th grader Jimmy Clark of Edina play (last night) the kid is an excellent skater and very skilled, especially for his age, I was impressed. He & Charlie Stramel of Rosemount would (both) look good in tUMD Bulldog jerseys 4-5 years from now
