Re: cec -rapids
I think most people feel that Cloquet is going to dominate this game, and they are mistaken. I think both clubs are pretty solid when you look at the rosters. At goaltending I give an edge to Cloquet. Though, Jensen is no slouch either. At forward, I think I give a slight edge to Grand Rapids because of Patrick White. I think it's like last season when CEC had the edge with Mitch Ryan. At defense I'm not sure who to give an edge to. I'm not familiar with CEC's defensemen. Grand Rapids Joe Stejskal and Tony Clafton are both smooth with the puck and Joe is going to put the hurt on Cloquet's forwards. Also, for you 7AA fans, don't judge White based on what you've seen the last two seasons. The people in GR that were at the Forest Lake game say he's playing like a top D-1 prospect and is dominating the game much like Alex Goligoski did. Also, his linemate Trevor Hicks has come from nowhere to be a pretty solid hockey player.

Just for fun I'll say Grand Rapids wins 4-2, but who really knows. The only thing that will shock me is if the game is not close.

Too bad there is no internet feed for this game, but maybe someone will update the score on this thread during the game?

Re: score
Cloquet will take the boys to the woodshed tonight for three reasons: Esse, a better second line and goaltending. Hope I am wrong but that is my guess,
5-2
SOG
CEC 42
GR 21

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... =jls81>JLS 81 at: 11/29/05 2:36 pm

I don't do scoring predictions, this early in the season, but I will say GR will win this one, because I am feeling a night of upsets on the way....
LEEEEEEEET'S PLAAAAAAAAAAAY HOCKEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!!!

I'm closing this one because there are three threads on Page 1 devoted to this game. It's a bit of overkill.

Lee
____________
Message Board arsonist since 2005
