Minnesota Rinks with best hotdogs?

Post by muckandgrinder65 »

So, I have a buddy (wink) who really likes hotdogs, and has to try one no matter the rink.
It could be 10am or 9:30pm. If the concession stand runs out or ever worse, doesn’t ‘put the dogs on’ it really is a bummer. (For him...)

Suggestions where he could find the holy grail of hotdogs in MN?

Chicagoans are chuckling I’m sure.....

Gotta agree with the Sanford Center in Bemidji. Stittsworth Meat Market Dogs all the way!

If you're ever at the Elk River rink and want a hot dog, get a chocolate chip cookie.

When I was a senior I was told by a current acting head coach of a school on the top of the hill in Duluth that Aldrich had good dogs, he didn't lie they are pretty good.

No, the hot dogs at ER are fine, but the chocolate chip cookies are State Fair (when they’re hot) GOOD 🤣

Oh, ok. I’ll have to eat a bunch of them when I’m in Elk River next time for puck 😋

Is the Sanford Center where the Beavers play?
My buddy just asked me- he’s worried about where to eat at HDM

Yes, the Beavers play at the Sanford Center.

HDM will have a bunch of food trucks on site from what I have heard, so there should be plenty of food options.

Check out this link for more info. Parking/getting to the area could be a pain, so there is some information on that.

If you’re willing to drive to the downtown area than I’d suggest Bar 209. My favorite burger from my college days.

Bar 209 has moved, changed their menu but still worth it.
Also in the 'downtown' and good
Keg n Cork, Brigid Cross, Foozies, MInnesota NIce, Raphaels, and maybe three more that I am not recalling.
Oh the Thai restaurant, the sushi restaurant, the noodles restaurant...
And Tim Hortons Subway and several coffee shops that serve good food.
