The weather took its toll on some of these holiday tournaments.

Fairmont pulled out of the Morris/Benson tournament. That means Prairie Centre played Mayville-Portland on Friday night and Morris/Benson will play Mayville-Portland Saturday.

Looks like the Wadena-Deer Creek tournament was cancelled.

Litttle Falls had some adjustments to their tournament.

Fergus Falls had some adjustments to their tournament.

Tight game as expected, but I didn't expect an Alex loss. Sartell must be the real deal. Should make for an interesting section tourney!

Sartell is rock solid. Very physical, work hard, good goalie, etc. I think both teams are pretty darn close. Either team has a good shot at Cathedral if they stay out of the box.

I think Sartell works hard (at least against Alex). I think Alex has more skill. The one goal was a bit of an oops by a defenseman which turned into a one on one with the goalie, who made the first save and stuffed in a quick rebound. I did go through the whole game just expecting Alex to score a couple goals, as they did look the stronger team. But kudos to Sartell, they worked. They were physical. Alexandria has always trended stronger as the season unfolds, and I think this will be the case again this year. If they stay healthy, the top line can play with anyone and the 2nd and 3rd lines are very solid as well.

I thought the goalie looked off for sartell during the Monticello game. Sartell also played the late game the night before and only had a 13 hour break before the MAML game the next morning which I think led to some tired legs
