Could be in the long run. How well was Tufte doing in Fargo? Let's revisit this in about 4 years.

Notermann is the kind of guy a smart NHL team would pick up in the later rounds. Not only does he have skill, he plays with a certain grit and tenacity that plays well in many different roles. Kind of a shame the Gophers didn't get Tufte as well, because those two have awesome chemistry.

5 goals in 12 games, not too bad! From what I have read Tufte will be a 1st round pick.

Great news. The offensive stats have always been impressive, but he has a more complete game now. More hard work and focus will get him into that Gopher line-up.

BTW - the twitter thread has one hilarious ER youth video in it.

Great get for the Gophers!!

Agree that he could (possibly) be a better COLLEGE prospect.

Congrats!

Tufte is hands down the most sought after NHL prospect playing HS hockey right now. alclosecallshaver could be right though. Notreman is an excellent all around player and for as much as Notreman is a beneficiary of playing with Tufte, Tufte benefits playing with Notreman every bit as much. Great 1-2 punch and this Blaine club may not even be top 20 without these 2.

I would not be surprised to see a kid like Notreman ending up being the better player someday. Tufte's physical, god given gifts though (6'5", incredible skater and great hands with a rocket for a shot) are difficult to deny though!

I really really really like Notreman's game though and am happy to see the gophers going and getting a guy like him.
